🏀 Sexton is certainly going to make things exciting next year...

If he can back up the talk (which he seems more than capable), then I'll trust CAJ to keep him from crossing the line. There is plenty of 'talk' going on in BB. Just as long as he doesn't start tripping people.

It's great that he's talented, but I don't get why people are so excited to have someone on board who is such a trash talker and makes a spectacle of himself. If this were a football player, we would not be so accepting of his shenanigans and neither would our coach, so why the double standard for bball? Go out there and let your performance speak for itself just like in football.

I have no issue with shit talking as long as its backed up by play on the field/court, no matter the sport.

It seems like our guys are completely intimidated by teams like Kentucky. It's almost like they're afraid. Sexton doesn't look like he's scared of anyone. Alabama basketball needs that. I would bet Sexton elevates his game through confrontation. Bring it on. I'm sure AJ will keep him on the legal side of the line. He'll be fine.

Roald Amundsen, the first man to the South Pole, said exploring was a woman who had to be seized and carried away, and if you wanted something you had to go get it. It's that mindset that wins basketball games. Sexton's not waiting for someone else to win the game. He'll do it himself.

I will say it's amusing to see certain people embrace this but those same people blame hip hop and "thug culture" if a guy hits someone(that whole situation started with trash talk as well I believe).

That said, I see where you're coming from. I actually cringed at him trash talking Penny Hardaway and at Penny (seemingly)arguing with a child. That second video though? Gold. Absolutely no problem with that.

In general, I have very little problem suggesting that all of us are products of our culture. I wouldn't necessarily embrace a 17-year-old athlete going up and down the court popping off at the opposing HC. Not sure how much hip hop he tunes into, but it does suggest that CAJ will have to introduce a better education.
