šŸˆ SEC Standings through Week Six. Two teams earn bowl eligibility, three more one win away from the post-season.

It's my opinion that one week from today we'll have three teams that are eligible, and three with five wins. Mississippi State and Kentucky are off Saturday. Auburn would be bowl eligible if they can get past Tennessee--a game for AU that doesn't look as easy as it did four weeks ago. Florida over Vandy puts them in a bowl game. UGA at LSU? LSU sees their second SEC loss with a 5-2 record but remains in the top 25.

Cubelic's SEC wrap-up.

ALABAMA: The display of accuracy Tua is showing is incredible. Good to see TE make more plays. Smith has been a solid blocker for awhile. Defense had some communication breakdowns in coverage but offense didn’t allow it to matter.

ARKANSAS: Continues to build. Hogs have a QB & RBs. OL has a ways to go but the TEs helping & became a bigger part of the plan. Morris has a few things in place that are sustainable. Have to take advantage of opportunities & limit turnovers. Not talented enough to help other team

AUBURN: Serious soul searching needs to happen offensively. It wears on the defense physically, mentally & emotionally. Maybe saw that show up this week. First time < 100yds rushing 3 straight weeks since 1999?? Unacceptable. Will have to fight for a W this week vs Tennessee.

FLORIDA: Huge win. Another statement from the front 7. Best group of edge defenders in the league. When they move up front they are a handful. Franks accepting the role Dan asking him to. 215 on the ground vs that group is impressive. Need to clean up flags. Perine was pounding!

GEORGIA: Two very capable QBs. More appreciation for both after seeing them in person. The weapons are everywhere on offense. OL banged up & struggling to gel. DL active but will need to be better at point of attack moving forward. Nice division win.

KENTUCKY: Tough place to play. Needed more balance vs a really good front seven. 2 of 13 on 3rd down won’t win on the road. Plenty still to play for. Stoops & co have to sell the positive takeaways moving forward. QB will need to remove defenders from the box in future.

LSU: can’t turn it over 3 times on the road vs quality opponent. Didn’t expect the rushing yards to go the way they did. You had to imaging OL shuffling might catch up & that group they saw was super athletic. Have to regroup quick with a giant game on deck. Brossette was solid.

MISSISSIPPI STATE: 349 rushing vs that group!! Very impressive performance on the ground. Got back to who they are with Fitz pounding & finding space for playmakers. OL cleaned things up. Defense caused problems all night. Momentum win off a tough loss.

MISSOURI: Difficult scenario with weather & delay but have to deal with it. Lock mistakes were crucial & uncharacteristic. Run game continues to be pretty good. Shouldn’t rush for 286 & lose the game. Turnovers & flags brutal for the tigers. OL playing good ball.

OLE MISS: Ta’amu great. Brown great. Metcalf great. Lodge great. Didn’t turn ball over. Let big boys make big boy plays. On to the next one...

SOUTH CAROLINA: Big won for the Gamecocks. Needed it. Easy to lose focus with no Bentley, weather, delay...could tell it meant a great deal to Will. Yards per carry still need to improve. Made plays when they needed them late.

TEXAS A&M: Front seven made a big statement. Talent has been there. Mindset changing & we saw it. Overcame two turnovers & still walked with a W. Williams most under appreciated RB in the league. Holding the Cats to 70 on the ground is wow!

VANDERBILT: Impressed with run game early. Had a nice plan. The RBs gave nice effort. Couldn’t hold up in protection. Shurmer fit some balls in some very tight windows. He’s impressive. UGA just too athletic. Miserable on 3rd down. Tough stretch coming.
