🏈 SEC officials admit mistake during Arkansas-Florida game

Got to agree with Petrino on this one. I hope that maybe the public scrutiny will reduce the favoritism at least a little bit.
considering this was the same crew from the UGA LSU game, this just strengthens my stance that the refs have a "get away with murder" type attitude and they know they don't have to answer to anyone because they will not be punished. Expect it to get MUCH worse before it gets better these refs know they have the power to change game outcomes if they want.

Who's really to blame? The messenger get's the blame. Lou Holtz is bashed every time he opens his mouth. I don't think Lou Holtz says much of anything that he wasn't told to say by ESPN. The SEC officials get bashed for making bad calls. I don't think the SEC officials do much of anything in that regard that the SEC office doesn't tell them to do.

I was watching that game and the refs handed it to Fla on a silver platter.

I agree 100%, but on the other hand the refs had nothing to do with Arkansas missing that last FG.

Arkansas could have won it or at least tied it if they had taken care of business. I hate these ref mistakes as much as anyone. Somehow the players on the field have to know that one call (no matter how bad) usually doesn't decide who wins the game. It's the other 100 or so that do.

The thing that really bothers me is how the benefit of the doubt always goes to Florida, and Tebow never gets flagged for anything. That's the double standard that could really blow a huge game, and the one that these refs must address.

The favor that the refs gave Fl was when Tebow ran for the first down and was clearly about a yard short and they gave him the spot for a first down. And then there was the pass interference call on Ark that was very iffy. And the offensesive pass interference that should've been called in the endzone. I was as mad as if had been Bama gettin screwed. Tebow didn't lead that drive, the refs did.
