šŸˆ SEC Coaching Search: Reports: Pruitt to Tennessee: Chad Morris to UArk

I agree with other posters in that I'd send him to his new gig now. I like the fact he does want to stay and finish the season, definitely something to be said about that, but I like the idea of Tosh and his intensity getting the opportunity to instill a gameplan against Clemson. I like Tosh a lot and we will lose him if we don't give him the bump he deserves. Too good of a recruiter and loved by his players to lose, atleast that's my opinion.

I just hope he does his job, and not be like what happen last year! I read that KK boy wanted him on the job now !

And maybe Tosh could draw up a few less obvious blitz schemes, ay?

I thought JP did a good job at Bama I hope he has success at 10RC...just as long as he doesn't beat The Tide. When hiring Nick tends to stick to former coaches that have worked for him or crossed paths. Tosh is making good money but if some school offers him the DC position then Nick might not be able to match say a million dollar salary to a defensive LB coach. Silly season is in full bloom. Plus each school can add 1 additional coach in Jan.

If ns wants Tosh as dc..nobody can outmatche the $$$$
But Nick hires top quality coaches..
And one more thing...
JP did a great job at fsu, UGA, and Bama...
But look at the talent....he isn't going to have that at UT..
May one day...but did he recruit it..or inherit it at all 3 placa..

I don't understand why Tenn would roll the dice on unproven HC's... They aren't a destination program.
Tradition wise they're second to Bama in the SEC. OK, almost a quarter of a century since they won a NC but those are few and far between for the vast majority of schools.
When was their last SECC?

I've not really kept up with a lot of his deal today other than the confirmation. I've seen mention of a guaranteed 20 mil? That's destination job if true.

Circling around something I believe people need to consider. Saban may not want Tosh as his DC. He very well may not be ready to the degree Saban requires. I wouldn't be surprised to see interim, but saying he's the choice?

I think the last time the buttchuggers actually appeared in the SECCG was in 07.

Tennessee is an inflamed boil on the buttocks of the world. I wish them 0-12 every year and this time I almost got my wish. I wish things on Tenn that even the barn doesn't measure down to.

Pruitt isn't just the enemy in that retina damaging, convict straining orange, but the day he shows up for his first practice I will emotionally put Pruitt somewhere between the Spanish influenza and the antichrist in my affections. fulmer can only hope to attain to such lofty heights.

Quit beating around the bush and just say what you mean!

I think if Saban doesn’t make Tosh DC somebody is going to this off season for no other reason because of recruiting.

I don’t believe we can afford to lose Tosh imho

You're making some assumptions about Tosh here. He's not as much of an ego driven guy as Pruitt was/is when he skipped to FSU for the DC job (not that I hold that move against him--career choice.) Add to that word has it he's very much in touch with where he is in relation to being a good DC.

Is he there yet? I don't know. I do know he's expected to stay in Tuscaloosa (to a high degree.)
