When Alabama opens its baseball season Friday hosting St. Louis, the Crimson Tide will do so with a little more respect. Not only has Bama been ranked 21st in the nation in pre-season college baseball polls, but Southeastern Conference coaches have Alabama in the upper echelon of the league.

One thing I hope changes is Gaspard knowing when to pull his pitcher. Too many times, like against LSU in the tournament and on A-Day last year, he left what's his face (Sullivan maybe?) in there when he was clearly worn out and struggling, the end result is a loss.

Anyways, my rant is over and as you can see, I clearly don't have a very high baseball IQ. Great to get respect from around the league, but Gaspard needs to produce this year. Nice to get back into the tournament last year, but the ending could not have been worse.
