| FTBL Say Something Good About The STATE of South Carolina

I spent a lot of time up there as a child.. my mother‘s entire family lives spread out through Florence, Timmonsville, Evergreen Darlington County and Beaufort..
Pee Dee river- swam a lot in it but the water is the color of root beer (it even makes a foamy head)..
Potato Creek.. swam a lot but scared the whole time.. Gators everywhere.. had to have a watch over with binoculars…
Myrtle Beach!!
Santee-hill jumping in my uncles Jimmy..
Pig pit & picking parties on the holidays..

More golf courses per capital than any other state.
It's one of the reasons I live here. A BIG reason.

I started playing in N AL; Huntsville and the surrounding area. I hated it when they went to winter greens. That doesn't happen here.

Another. The fishing. In an hour I can have a boat on the water in Lake Moultrie, or Lake Marion. Combined, that's...180,000 acres of water, just about. In the reservoir ... five minutes or so, that's another six hundred acres of fresh water fishing.

Saltwater is a bit of a different story. But, we already have a tri-toon on the water for that...I could be on it in a half of an hour if someone hasn't taken it out this morning.

We have a beach house there and the golf is incredible!!!! Food is good as well.
I read a stat today that said 92 percent of golfers have never broken 80. I had to chew on that for a minute. It does make sense. That percentage of golfers don't have a course within a five minute drive. Or five within fifteen. Or twenty within a half of an hour.

I can tell you with certainty that I have never broken 80!! My bets score was an 83 and I may never see that again. Even though I don’t work, I still don’t play enough to get considerably better. We are in Chattanooga now and I have several courses close by but can’t seem to find the time to play. Although, we only moved here in May and I don’t know many people yet.
