Brother-in-law and sister-in-law lived in Hartsville.
My mothers family had huge tobacco fields there..The farmland there played out about the time Alabama was the frontier. Many of us have forebears from there, including me.
Oh, and let's not forget the service it pays to civilization as a holding bin for @TerryP , in an Escape From New York fashion.
It's one of the reasons I live here. A BIG reason.More golf courses per capital than any other state.
Georgetown.Hobcaw Barony.

Good timing here.Hobcaw
I read a stat today that said 92 percent of golfers have never broken 80. I had to chew on that for a minute. It does make sense. That percentage of golfers don't have a course within a five minute drive. Or five within fifteen. Or twenty within a half of an hour.We have a beach house there and the golf is incredible!!!! Food is good as well.
I can tell you with certainty that I have never broken 80!! My bets score was an 83 and I may never see that again. Even though I don’t work, I still don’t play enough to get considerably better. We are in Chattanooga now and I have several courses close by but can’t seem to find the time to play. Although, we only moved here in May and I don’t know many people yet.I read a stat today that said 92 percent of golfers have never broken 80. I had to chew on that for a minute. It does make sense. Hobcaw, its meaning, is about water. I can't remember its exact definition or origin. It is tribal...I'd have to look it up.
But, it's funny I'm posting about fishing and you throw that out.
