I know the al.com He/Him's will call me triggered, but this is taking a somewhat neat moment (even if it was a publicity stunt), stripping it of it's legitimacy and turning it into a disingenuous Upwards Football type moment.
Watching reactions the last two days have left me here.
A lot of these guys reporting and commenting on this season (C-19) have left me with the impression their politics shape their personality. Here, I've seen the same group say 'any critique on her playing' is chauvinistic. That doesn't compute.
It was a designed kick, not what she's capable of. It was a smart move by the coaches. I'm sure somebody on the Missouri kickoff team would have loved to put a hard block on her. Where she put the ball and the resulting lack of return gave the same results if they kicked to the goal line and they returned it.
