"I don't want our fans to be negative and disappointed. I want them to be positive and supportive. That's what this team needs and they'll get better."
According to those at the taping he's very relaxed and upbeat following the weekend.

Just something to consider...

He said as much during the Coach Saban Show. His exact words were that we as a fan base could become complacent and needed to have our A game and support this team. There was even a article about how we as a fan base are getting spoiled, blah blah blah. I guess as a hole we the fans are getting scrutinized while we are scrutinizing our team. There is no subtle way of putting it, we think we should win a championship every year. One things for sure, we sure do love our team, no matter how critical we can be, our love is very strong and sometimes its overboard. I believe we will be ok, I also think we need to quit with the three-peat deal, having high expectations is great but expecting or better yet think we are going to win championships year after year is a little pompous, but what the hell we are Alabama.

He knows we didnt live up to expectations this game, all is well, and no matter what its our Crimson Tide!

Watching the show last night, and you could tell that CNS seemed relaxed. He knows he has a super talented bunch but it needs to form it's own identity. I was hoping that he could have his show piped in to every BAMA home so some of our "Debbie Downers" would see the light.

I wish I could hear some fans commits on the 1992 team. The one that sticks out is the La. Tech game, 13-0 was the score and we had no offense TD. David Palmer ran a punt back for the only TD that day.

I wondered what you would think about this thread. :very_drunk:

This should probably go in the thread you started but I'll drop it here anyway.

When I called for a big win against VT is was predicated on their lack of offense—I mentioned little about their defense. Now, they did play better than I expected.

In the end I've got questions but I'm not searching for answers after one game.

In two weeks my tune may change.

Ahhh, no biggee. In the words of CNS "It is what it is."

It's a discussion board, people can be pigeon holed for overdramatic for many reasons. I don't think I had (notice past tense) the rep for drama & I tried to prequalify, give credit, so on. It doesn't matter sometimes though, right, wrong, &/or indifferent. I certainly understand CNS stance keeping calm. Is it me, or has he mellowed out some?

Anyway, I try to be a student of what the man says & I certainly have 110% confidence in CNS. I simply thought it was a good discussion given our members... I still do for that matter.

When we have a software update early next year I'm going to make it a point to find a "electric mixer" type of hack that stir pots as needed. There's nothing in this thread that other people haven't thought about.
