If you're looking for a definitive yes or no answer, you're probably not going to get one (from me anyway) as of now. If I was confident enough that it would happen to say it was a certainty, I would. I had no issues saying all fall that Milroe wouldn't return even though half the fan base had convinced themselves that he would. Rock solid info said otherwise. On Grubb however, from what I've been told not much has changed from the previous update. There is interest on both sides (still). Both sides have talked. There is no rush to get it done as Grubb has other options (and more likely to come his way). There's also contractual things involved... nothing that can't be worked through, but it's still part of the equation. In the end, he may not come. Or, if he does, it could possibly drag on a while before it is announced or leaks.

So the longer this drags on, chances are better/worse that he’s coming? Seems to me if he wanted to come, he would have jumped at the chance.

It's not a typical situation where UA is down an OC or staff member and needs to make a hire ASAP, so the timeline isn't all that important. My understanding is Grubb is still weighing some things and DeBoer isn't pressing, but he knows where it stands. Maybe it works out, maybe not. I'm not predicting anything, but I wouldn't be surprised to maybe see some movement one way or the other by the end of next week.
