NCAA, SEC, and LSU officials say there's no contact with the family. All of them deny it ... that's where I'm stumbling.

This thing was handled by LSU and the NCAA over year ago. No violation. There is no NCAA case here. Nothing was sold and the website was closed in one day after LSU compliance people talked to them about using LSU purple and gold. Fournettes name, photo, or likeness was never used. NCAA rules prohibit using an athlete's "name, image, or likeness" to profit.

The writer of the article had his media credentials stripped by LSU years ago. He comes out with an article like this from time to time.

What's your thoughts on the game @red55?

It's very hard to win on the road in the SEC West. Bama is favored for that very good reason. But I think this will be another close one and LSU has a decent chance at winning. LSU, with a drastically inferior offense last season compared to this year, had a better Tide team than this year's squad beat in regulation in Tiger Stadium before Alabama rallied to win in overtime. This year the Tide has the home stadium but this is a much better LSU team.
