2008 A-Day Tailgate Information
Who: The RollTideBama.com staff and members. It will be a family friendly tailgate, so feel free to bring the wife and kids.
When: We will claim our spot Friday afternoon as soon as the Quad opens for tailgating (it was 5pm last year). If the weather is nice, we will more than likely hang out there Friday night. Regardless, we will be out there bright and early on Saturday morning (April 12th).
Where: Right in the middle of the action, on the Quad. From this aerial view, the tents will be set up in the area where that red circle is. We will have a RollTideBama.com banner on one of the tents that can be seen in this picture.
What to bring: The staff will be providing food and soft drinks. The menu is subject to change, but as of now we are planning fried turkey, some fried fish, and some smoked BBQ sandwiches with an array of sides. We normally have some cookies and brownies and stuff as well. The only thing we usually do not furnish is adult beverages, unless you count Doemaster's lemonade. Feel free to bring your own, but if you are a sloppy drunk, don't get mad at us if we mess with you!
If you do chose to bring your favorite tailgate dish, we certainly will not stop you, but it isn't required. We just want to meet the members and have a good time.
As A-Day gets closer, we will post another thread, probably a week or so before the game, so that we can get a good estimate of how many folks will be attending. The more the merrier, we just need to make sure we have the appropriate amount of food and drink so that we don't end up with a riot on our hands.
