The admins and mods here don't give a damn who can piss the farthest in the wind. But when it gets staff members shoes wet when they aren't even in the "contest?"

In a nutshell, I've had some staff members bring to my attention a few threads that have simply gone too far and that doesn't sit well with me. In example, while I set the Political forum up with no moderators in place it wasn't an open invitation for simple social norms to be ignored. I'm seeing petty, childish remarks thrown around there which—as it can do in situations like this—spill over into other forums.

We pride ourselves over little to no moderation on these forums. We do that because it's our belief people can, and will, understand the spirit of these forums and maintain a sense of maturity.

When things devolve like some have in the last few weeks it's an inconvenience to us—one we don't want, need, and one that won't last.

Figure it out by yourself. Solve it. Don't bring it back.

Meant with all the sincerity in the world,

Me speaking for all.

I'd like to see everyone posting stick around and keep things civil, its seems the political banter has moved into the sports side of the forum and its obvious other members are noticing.

I suggest some of you stay away from the political postings for a while, nothing good has or will come from the posts. If you haven't noticed, your posts aren't changing the other persons perspective - so kinda pointless to keep going with it - its not a matter of being right or wrong, just be smart with your time. Each of you think your right, but you are wasting time with the posts.

Years ago I learned why its not good to talk about politics - especially between two passionate people - I wear my emotions on my sleeve and grew up with a family that lived in confrontation - so I can easily get in and sling with the best of them, but learned there really is no reason to argue or repeatably state the same thing if you can't change the other belief.

My relationship with my father is gone due to our political discussions over the last 6 years (and a few family drama situations), sad that father and son can separate over a stupid vote or the other persons opinion. We talked on the phone at least 2-3 times a week, I've probably talked to him 2 times in the last 2 years.

Keep it civil or create the drama on another site.
