Not to make it sound like it isn't a big accomplishment, because it most certainly is (only 2 UA students were endorsed by the school this year), but at this point, all he has done is apply for it.

In all honestly, I think I recall that he must first finish his playing days, which ended up costing him a year on the Rhodes Scholar deal. I'm wondering if the boy will finish his Masters before he goes up for being awarded a Masters Rhodes Scholar. Talk about Act Like You've Been There?
There's only 32 (I think) total Rhodes Scholars selected from the US each year and very few are football players. There was one from Alabama last year (female) but I think she was the first one from the state in several years. Being endorsed is a big deal. Actually being selected is a very big deal. Myron Rolle played for Florida State and was selected in 2009. It happens, but not very often.
