The main problem with Curry is that he wasnt from Bama and he couldnt beat auburn, two big problems.

Look, let’s not be stupid here, we all know what goes on behind the scenes in recruiting and we know that probably 90% of teams are doing it. We know that to land top recruits you have to let the boosters “help you out” every now and then. It has always been my understanding that Curry had clashes with a lot of Bama’s top boosters because they were giving him “unwanted assistance” in recruiting some top players. That I think that was ultimately his demise. His unwillingness to accept the ugly side of college football that is required to build a winning program and ticking off a lot of influential people who were around Bama football at the time.
