🏈 Report: Mike Tranghese and Condi Rice expected to be on CFB Playoff Committee...

Guess what?

I know football.
I follow it closer than most.
I'm a Tide fan.
And as a bonus, I haven't been complicit in the cover-up and/or execution of some of the most heinous crimes against Americans and foreigners alike, resulting in nefarious personal and professional associations that ought to merit immediate disqualification for consideration.

There is a plethora of other knowledgeable candidates who have dedicated more of their lives to this game than her.

Oh crap, here we go...

There's that item on her resume' about her tenure as one of the upper-administrators at Stanford...sort of puts a pretty wide gulf between you two.

So being an administrator at Stanford makes her qualified to be on the selection committee for college football playoffs? What the hell kinda sense does that make?

If you don't like Condi on the panel, that's cool. There are other slots open... And there are plenty of other folks out there that are lobbying to be on it... you know, like Phillip Fulmer.

Oh god please no...

How difficult is it to see that there is a panel being formed of people who have biased opinions, and that some of us want some of those people chosen to have biases for Alabama, so that if a time comes, someone will fight for Alabama? I'm an Alabama fan. I don't give a shit about Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida State, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Stanford, etc. If Alabama gets a slot that one of them are more deserving for in a 4 team playoff and they end up left in the cold becasue a friendly panel member showed us favoritism, then good. Sure beats the hell out of us getting screwed. Plus, I'm one of those people who enjoy when Alabama plays for Championships.

What pride can you take in your team if you really believe your team has an "inside" advantage over others? What pride can you take in a game that continually concentrates decision-making in smaller and smaller numbers of people? How can anyone celebrate a game that continues down a path of centralized and secretive control and human manipulation?

For heaven's sake, your post reads like some punk kid who relishes victory so much that he doesn't care about the methods by which he wins.

You should set up a protest on the Quad during the day of the LSU game. Get like a bullhorn and stuff.

Since when does the BamaNewsBot chat with us? The internet is taking over.

Terry forgot which profile he was on :biggrin_blue:

As soon as one of you two figure out the difference between being outraged and losing your shit over this matter get back to me. I want to be one or the other this morning—completely frustrated over my mistake!!

But, I'm left not knowing the difference or which attitude to adopt.
