| FTBL "Regardless of pro readiness, there won’t be 10 guys at the combine who, pound for pound, test better overall than Milroe."

Nothing of significance had changed re: Milroe's stock going into yesterday, and a bowl game isn't going to move the needle much either, if at all. What will move the needle from this point is his testing (in a positive way), his workouts (could easily go either way), and his sit down interviews (he's gonna need to do some major X's & O's homework). I know he has an invite to play in Mobile... that would be a gamble, but a good opportunity for him should he accept it. Last check, he hadn't made a decision, but I think he's probably waiting until he goes public with his draft declaration.

Testing and performing in a game are two distinctive things. Milroe is an athlete no doubt, I am not so sure he is a pro quarterback. He may get drafted late but I would be absolutely shocked if he goes on the first day. At best, he is a backup IMO.

I disagree Mike. Ineptitude is a quality of many GMs in the NFL. I’ll bet someone picks him in the 1st 2 rounds- based on testing and “potential “

Milroe, for all the bad stuff he has put on film, has a lot of good film out there also.

A pure guess, but I would imagine Milroe will run a sub 4.5 40 at the combine.

Kid has a strong arm, good attitude and is well spoken.

He’s going to get drafted, and probably early.

Didnt Vince Young score in the single digits on the Wonderlic but some of the NFL gurus still had him up high in the draft? Milroes situation is very similar aside from the fact that he's a bright young man that will score pretty high on the Wonderlic, IMO.
Another guy the Titans drafted too early. And he was a better runner and passer than Milroe. Had a natty also.

Testing is not the same as performance. Milroe is fast and strong (the elements that are tested). When it comes to accuracy or timing, is it the QB or receiver that was off?
In my opinion the thing missing in questions like this is considering the person on the "drafting" end. The NFL OC mindset says, "I can develop his passing abilities if we draft him."

In my limited view, he's a bigger and stronger Tyrod Taylor (who eventually started in the league.)

I can't imagine what a GM sees in Milroe that transfers to the league. He is just awful.

You can't say nothing to them on here. You say potential and it goes in and out of their ears....

I think we have a number of situations in play here... Here's 3 of them, IMO...

1- Fans think he sucks, they don't like him, and they are wishcasting that he doesn't get drafted because that will make them feel good.

2- Fans think he sucks, are mostly indifferent on him, but they've been talking openly for a while to everyone about how much he sucks. And seeing him get drafted early would undercut that line of thought that they are dug into. They are scared they are gonna look foolish.

3- Some people are equating a high draft selection with guaranteed NFL success, which isn't the case at all. But they think the 2 are married.
