🏈 Reason to suspect a change on kick returners...number change today drew my attention.

Tana has worn #2 up until today and during the media viewing period he was sporting the #11. This started me thinking and I assure you it's just guess work; sort of.

Up until today we were looking at Christion Jones handling punt returns. I don't see that changing.

He was also included in our kick return team partnering with Dee Milliner.

For Tana to change numbers it means there's someone else wearing the same number and DeAndrew White has been wearing the #2 jersey as well.

For him to change to #11 tells me that he and White are on the field at the same time and it would have to be special teams.

It leads me to think they are giving White a look at returning kicks alongside Christion.

Again, just a guess...but, it certainly means something in the end with a change in personnel on one of our packages. Which one is the question.

i think Christion Jones is a great player. he may be a big bright spot for Alabama this year.

It's funny to me to see people wanting to see another guy like Javy returning kicks and punts and the general notion that Maze didn't do as good of a job as Javy. Yet, there was very little difference between the two. A yard and a half is the most in average on punt returns.

I to have high hopes for Christion. I think we see it more on the offense than on special teams unless he returns three or more for TD's. Hell, if he returns two it's more on the season than Marquis or Javier.

The way Jones stepped in during the NC game was impressive, and I hope he builds on that.

You know, everyone wants a returner to take it back for a TD, but it's those consistent 8 to 15 yard returns that can really turn a close game in our favor, or affect playcalling.
