whatever...this is the only game i get to go to this year...my two ole miss fan friends were pushing me to leave when all of a sudden i heard it start..."hey rebels..." and i said 'oh no, not yet'... then i finished the cheer and walked out of the stadium. i'm sorry but this is the only game i get to go to this year and we beat an sec team so i'm gonna sing the damn song at the top of my lungs!! there was a dude in front of me that flew in from denver...denver! and he sang the song too! as i was walking out i heard a lady say she had season tickets and this was her fourth game.... you know what! it was my first this season and only so forget ya'll that don't want us to sing it!! i sang it loud and proud!!!! this was some people's first game ever. and some people's only game ever. let's go bama! 7-0 be proud. every win is a win! rammer jammer!!!!

i agree with you porter. i think this game was a little special to rub it in ole miss' face. rammer jammer is a copy of the hotty toddy cheer so to sing it to them makes it even more special. you wouldn't believe the reaction the student section gives the band if they don't hear rj. it's really not fair for the band to get booed by their own student section for not playing the song.

I too was not pleased in it use in this case. It simply was not the case, and we look ignorant, and bush-league using it. I see it as being wrong for the same reason Maze's celebration was wrong (minus the penalty).

What troubled me still more was the way the crowd followed like sheep and poured themselves into it. How do we here see it as wrong but those there volunteer to chime in. LBS just left the room shaking his head.

I am not certain that it should be a "Big Game Only" thing, like our little Black-Out song. Its a celebration for sure, but it is also an institution that we should only break out on special occasions like Mom's special China. If we do that we are validating some foes as special, like Georgia did for us by wearing their "Saturday Butt-Kickin' Outfits". The some should be about us, FOR us, not about them, and AT then.

I am amazed. Nobody thought we would be 7-0 at this point in the season and ranked #2. Some thought we would only win 7 games all year. Honestly, some of you people are afraid of success. Who gives a damn if they sing Rammer Jammer after every win regardless of the point difference? Also, please spare me the 'big game' use only. That translates into the games you think are big games. Take a deep breath and enjoy the team, the game, and the fans.

As for Ramma Jammer well that's personal choice. Everyone wants to be PC these days. To hell with them we're 7-0 fire it up! Been a long hard road over these years, we waited long enough.

a 4 point win after being shutout the second half.. not exactly a "we just beat the hell outta you" moment.

I said as much to a workmate as the game ended and the camera panned to the fans singing it.

Im happy as hell for the win, just dont like RammerJammer being sung for nothing.

Sorry guys, but I hope I hear Rammer Jammer after every game this season! Think about it. Some teams in the SEC deserve hearing it after Bama wins, regardless the score. We have been through too much the last 10 years. It's just a song. No one complained in 2005 after we beat UT 6-3 & the band played it.

I really don't care if they play rammer jammer or not but it is nice to hear. If the band don't play it more than likily the stundent section was going to sing it anyway. As for the line we just beat the hell out of you being used when we didn't win big are we suppose to change all our cheers when we aren't winning big. I can think of alot of times in the last few years that the It,s great to be Alabama hasn't felt so great leaving BDS but we still used it. Plus if one don't want to sing along that his/her choices but don't be mad at the ones that do.
