Apparently, none of you have ever had to sit through a BAMA vs Ole Miss game and put up with the insufferable Hotty Toddy cheers all game long. I don't care if we beat them 3-0. Strike up the band. Then do it again.

I agree 110%. I was PRAYING that the band would start up Rammer Jammer, and I was screaming it as loud as I possibly could when they started it up. Like Terry said, that damn Hotty Toddy cheer ranks just below Rocky Top on the "ways that rival fans annoy the %&*# out of me" list.

That is a good point, but since we don't play them on a regular basis, they lose points in my rankings. :wink:

I didn't like it being played. I think it should only be played if it was the truth. Watching a fourth down pass fall incomplete in your territory doesn't belong in the Ramma Jamma category. We want to talk about class then we should show more in games like that. I was dissappointed.

Ok so this is how it works.

If we beat a small team, ie Tulane, Western KY, Duke, etc. then Rammer Jammer is never ok.

If we beat Ole Miss, Arkansas, Miss State, Kentucky, Vandy, or South Carolina by a touchdown or less, Rammer Jammer is never ok.

If we beat AU, TN, Florida, LSU or Georgia by any amount, Rammerjammer is always ok.

But what if AU, TN, Florida or LSU is having a down year and we barely beat them?

What if Ole Miss, MSU, SC, AK, KY or Vandy is having a very good year and we barely beat them.

I am confused. Maybe they should give us all a 900 number to call in and vote whether or not its ok to sing it for that victory. OR>>

or maybe we need to quit being so arrogant when we win and assume that just because we are ranked #2 in the country that all of a sudden beating Ole Miss by 4 is not worthy of the cheer? Are you serious? Ole Miss has had some good seasons recruiting and Nutt is a very good coach.

If Ole Miss was in the ACC I bet they would be leading the conference right now.

Probably would be the Big 12, Big East, Pac 10, Big 10 or whatever other conference you want to insert thats not the SEC.
