One of the issues the SEC had with Pruitt was the rumor of a lawsuit. His consideration at UA was taken seriously. The timing, as well as not knowing the resolution, is the reason he isn't on staff today.

Well I just meant that Tennessee planned to make him the sacrificial lamb and ruined years of his coaching ability. Not saying he isn't at fault, but the planning behind the scenes no doubt planned to throw him to the media and wolves.
 
No doubt this will be settled without disclosure. He is viewed as radioactive to lead a program so this has cost him millions. People will always wonder if he really had the strength of character to sustain himself through a long coaching career as head coach.
