We'll be two days, about eight hours (give or take a minute) by the time this gets posted.

I'm curious about your thoughts heading into Wednesday.

A few of mine to start:

—Best story to follow so far? It's been Rashaan Evans for me. As of this minute I'd think it's a 50/50 situation. I put that percentage on it because I won't be shocked, in the least, if he goes either way.

—Biggest disappointment to date? I wish we'd have pulled in a few more interior linebackers. I don't like out depth situation going into fall. An injury, or two, could have us in a situation similar to our secondary last season: talented players but lack of experience.

—Favorite player? Two part answer here. It's been interesting watching Christian Miller. Some of the comments he's made on twitter and in interviews leaves me thinking he's a pretty good kid. Here's a quick sample of one of the tweets that caught my eye.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>People are so concerned about athletics. I happen to proudly carry a 3.95 GPA</p>&mdash; Christian Miller (@ChristianMillr) <a href="https://twitter.com/ChristianMillr/statuses/429109972199550976">January 31, 2014</a></blockquote>

You can scroll through his account with a click here...worth the time to read how he handles himself.

From purely a football standpoint, I'm really looking forward to what De'Shawn hand brings to the field.

—Overlooked, that'll get attention the most quickly? Pettway.

—Best meltdown to date? No doubt, this has to geaux to Tigah fans. After being told for weeks they would pull a five for five at the Under Armor game—only to land two—was something to behold. Chasing the top spot right now are Auburn fans with the Evans saga. When he commits to the Tide? Lawd have mercy!

—My only question to close. How many long for the days when recruiting was enjoyable to really follow? We thought the hat switch was tiresome...it's only going to get worse from here on out.

I wanted Raekwon pretty bad but thought it was a longshot. Marlon was a biiiiiiiiiiiig relief. Im looking most forward to seeing him and how we use Bo Scarbrough. Hand and Cam are gonna be special imo. Evans would be the guy Im looking at right now. I was as convinced we had no chance at getting him as much as I did with Elam but Terry and others have convinced me otherwise at this point.

His dad may just be playing the game with his son, but Mr . Evans did say last week he was concerned about his son's safety if he chose Bama.

Well my favorite player pick is kind of an easy one, because who isn't excited about highly regarded prospects? I'm looking forward to Cameron Robinson coming in, to help us restore the dominating at the line of scrimmage mantra, road grader.

Outside of him, I'm excited about Cornwell. If he has no lingering effects from the knee, I could see him competing. Too many more to name honestly.

Christian Miller is a class act, I've liked every tweet I've seen from him.

On Evans, I'm still not convinced this isn't just a bunch of hype for his recruitment, although I'm optimistic. He would be a huge steal, bigger than all the other ones Saban and Co have pulled off.

I'm not sure if we still have a legit shot at Dupree, but he would be a huge pickup as well.

I've seen fans suggest Alan Evans is playing a game with his son. Up until this past weekend I haven't seen any of the media (those that cover recruiting) suggest anything other than his family is taking his recruiting seriously. But, in the last 48 hours, I've seen several of those media individuals start suggesting such; all wearing orange and blue.

Their tone has changed dramatically in the last few weeks and rightfully so.

It's been a great recruiting battle. If I were a father, and had a kid like Rashaan, this "recruiting pitch" would cause me to pause. Here's a quote from Alan from a recent AU writer:

ā€œI think the main thing is them saying that Rashaan would definitely be the guy. If he decides to come to Auburn, he would be the guy that they would want to build their future defense around. They said that he would be the guy, that he would be the chosen one that they could build that defense around and make him a part of that Star position. They’ve only opened up so much of their defense because of the fact that they haven’t been able to utilize blitzing from the Star position. They said if they had a dynamic player like Rashaan that has his athleticism and size and could rush from that Star position, it would open up a different world for them on that defense.ā€

Seems pretty innocuous...until you start thinking about both sides.

One, here's how you fit our system. The other, we're changing our system to fit you, we've not done this before, but...

I am happiest with Da'shawn Hand. Getting a strong, athletic, and good sized pass rusher will be key, especially with Johnathon Allen and A'Shawn Robinson on the interior. We have sorely lacked a pass rusher and I'm excited about him, not to mention he'll be majoring in Civil Engineering, another HUGE plus in my book. Marlon Humphrey was another happy one for me, because he was an elite talent and we needed that sorely at his position. Florida State has always recruiting the most athjletic of players and developed them, so the fact they wanted him so bad and we got him lets me know we got an athlete that is fast and can play.

Rashaan Evans would be a nice pull, but Melachi Dupree is a guy that I'm hoping we can steal. I know it's probably a slim chance, but that's why it makes him so intriguing to me. Another big time receiver would put us in unbelievable position the next few years. Evans though would be nice to get and fill that linebacker spot after DePriest leaves, and to have some backup if Foster can’t get it done. It would also be nice to steal Evans right out of Auburn’s back yard.

Anyone have an opinion on our chances with Dupree?

My comments:I think we will get most of the kids who committed to Bama.I think we are going to lose a few recruits who flip at the last moment.I think we may pick up a surprise, maybe two tomorrow. Who? I have no idea, just a gut feeling.I think we will have the number one rated recruiting class once again.I think with 8 inches of snow falling Monday night and it is sleeting outside now, I will be able to watch ESPNU all day tomorrow.

Hey Mike, I'm on my phone do I can't see where you're from but I got 9 inches of snow yesterday and we are getting a sleet storm tonight too! Where do you live??

Yep. I used to skip school and work on NSD, it was like Christmas. I don't even bother these days. Just another day.

When was the last time? 2008? I recall sharing several laughs that day.

We had our surprise that year with Ingram giving his verbal that Tuesday night and our shits and giggles with Jerrell's announcement that Wednesday.

The majority of the fan base got caught up in Julio's announcement that day. However, the biggest thing I recall were the conversations about Marcel. Very few were talking about him and both of us kept mentioning him as the sleeper of the class.

If I recall...that signing didn't go over well with the Auburnites either...
