I think there are many many similarities between FSU and Alabama. Florida getting beat 27-2 and Florida State ONLY getting 304 yds of offense on Florida is very telling. Most fans look at the score and thing, wow Florida got stomped, but they kept FSU to 304 yds of offense and there were ZERO turnovers in the game.
My point, don't overlook Florida's defense based on the scoreboard against Florida State.

They didn't get much more than that playing Wake. On the other hand, they had well over 500 against Miami and scored thirty.
Personally, I don't look at FSU as any type of barometer other than rushing yards.

More than I'm thinking, thinking it's a 2-3 TDs and a few FGs. 1 or 2 D/ST TDs would be nice too
I get all the "take them serious" talk, because any team on any given day can play lights-out, ride the white unicorn, and beat a much better team. But is the Gator defense really that stout? I'm no statistical wiz but when I look at their schedule their defense doesn't seem that impressive. Eastern Carolina scored 24, New Mexico State scored 13, LSU scored 28, Vanderbilt scored 7 and kept the game close, South Carolina scored 14, FAU scored 14 and took them to overtime, and FSU scored 27. What am I missing?

FSU scored 14 in the last 10 mins of the game, it was a close game most of the game. Florida's reminds me of LSU's.
