I put Mich. in the second place because I'm kind of looking ahead to the Ohio St game. I guess you could put a two loss team in it? I mean Gary is talking about the time LSU won it all, but that was the BCS and not the playoff we have now. 'Ville for me is probably sitting #7. I wasn't impressed AT ALL with them Saturday at Virginia.

Sagarin also thinks pretty high of the Barn at #6.

Danielson thinks around 15 contenders yet in the hunt. That's wishful thinking to me. It doesn't feel like a 2 loss team this year is going to get in, but we'll see. I do believe a 2 loss conference champ will get in before a one loss big 12 team, still without that extra game and apparently little respect from media.

Clemson had close calls with Troy (!!), Louisville, and NC State. Michigan has only had a close call with Wisconsin. Michigan has had a slightly tougher schedule as well, I believe.

Clemson has barely beaten the barn and a couple of other ACC...powerhouses... It won't happen, but just my .02, I think the committee should have Washington at 3 and Clemson at 4.

For the last (and first) two years they created a weekly playoff game with their Top 4 selections. Don't see any way they can do that this year for the first couple of weeks. They will have Michigan and tOSU in their Top 4 in Week 13.

I count Penn State. They were not ranked at the time but are currently #20.

This is strictly my opinion right now, nothing to do with what I think they will announce

1. Big Bad Bama - Pretty much ran through everyone and showing the most potential of any team. Defense is crazy.
2. Washington - Potent offense and has playmakers. Defense is stingy and has allowed the offense to run away from teams not really having many close ones other than Utah.
3. Clemson - A lot of playmakers and finding ways to win. Beat a middle of the pack Wolfpack team, a decent Florida State team, and a really good Louisville team.
4. Michigan - Has not played anyone to truly show what they have. They have one star in Peppers, a decent defense, a good tight end, and a quarterback that hasn't be pressured all year. Just not sold on them being #2 since they have no resume.

5. Lousiville - Jackson is just damn good, and he makes that team go. Defense is good enough to stop teams and let the offense take it from there.
6. Ohio State - So much talent that meets the eye, but Barrett having a tough run at it this year, which was totally unexpected by me. That being said, they are still the second most talented team in the country behind us, and can definitely make a run at things if they beat Michigan.
7. Texas A&M - Personally, I don't think they offer much against these other teams ahead of them. They are mediocre at everything and don't necessarily excel. They have talent at running back and receiver, as well as defensive line, but the rest of the team is just blah to me and I can't see them beating any team ahead of them.

Understandable, but I see Penn State as a fluke like Miami earlier this year. One big win, and they'll lose to Iowa giving them three losses to go along with the other two half-half decent teams they've played. Their schedule is completely awful. We'll see though.

Utah got to Browning a few times, you can see what happened when they did. Not sure they'll play anyone that can make him uncomfortable in the regular season, they are definitely beatable.
