Putting these here due to ongoing construction in the betting parlor.

Appy State at Tennessee

Optimism is running rampant in Knoxville, with good reason. The Vols have had several good recruiting classes in a row, they have senior leadership, and they have depth. Forget about UT making like Michigan did a few years ago and getting upset. The Viles are hungry, and feel like they have something to prove.

PJ's picks- UT wins easily, covers the -20, The o/u is close, but I like the under.

South Carolina at Vanderbilt

If you like offense do not watch this game. Both teams were terrible on offense a year ago, and figure to make only incremental improvement. Meanwhile, both defenses were decent. Althougj this game is in Nashville, Vandy fan support, or the lack of it, means there is no real home field advantage for Vandy.

PJ's picks- Take South Carolina and the points, South Carolina on the money line, and under 44.5.

LSU versus Wisconsin, at Green Bay

Wisconsin still plays pretty much as it did when Bielma was there, with a run heavy offense and being physical on both sides of the ball. LSU is, well, LSU. They are deep on both sides of the ball, have Superman playing tailback, and a pair of budding stars at receiver. The question comes down to their qb play, much as it did a year ago. If Harris can make plays, LSU makes a run at the NC.

PJ's picks - LSU wins, covers the 9.5. I think they will have enough explosive plays on offense to cover the over as well.

South Alabama at Miss. State

The Bulldogs launch the post Prescott era as a heavy favorite over the Jags. While Jags HC Joey Jones is a favorite of mine, they are definitely stepping up out of their class. While the Bulldogs will struggle some on offense, their isn't much doubt about the outcome.

PJ's picks-MSU wins, but they do not cover the 31.5. I like undet 57.5.

UCLA at Texas A&M

There was a dumpster fire at College Station last year, and an embarassing exit of well regarded quarterback talent. Kevin Sumlin is definitely on the hot seat this year. It remains to be seen how well he has done in getting the Aggies back on course. UCLA comes in with a solid club which should contend for the PAC 12 south title.
PJ's picks- I like UCLA +2.5, I like them to win straight up, and I like the over.

La Tech at Arkansas

How many years has Allen been the Hogs QB? Oh, wait, that is his brother.

The Hogs hope to begin the new season as well as they ended the old one. They should start that Saturday.

PJ's picks- The Hogs win, but 26 points feels like way too many. I like under in this one.

North Carolina v Georgia

Kirby's first team. UGA fans, as well as the rest of the SEC, anxiously await the unvailing. Although the game is in Atlanta, it will feel like a Georgia home game. North Carolina brings a pretty good D, and to me Kirby showed confidence in his own D by choosing Lambert over Eason as starting QB.

PJ's picks- I like UGA to win, but an upset is definitely possible. Take the Dawgs and lay the points if you must bet on this game. The best play is the under.

Clemson at Auburn

The last time a Kevin Steele defense was involved with Clemson is an unpleasant memory for Clemson fans. He was their DC when West Virginia hung 70 on them in an Orange Bowl debacle. This game feels like that to me. The Tigets won't be rolling Toomers Corner Saturday night, unless the Clemson visitors do it. 7 points won't be near enough for the Barners.

PJ's picks - Clemson wins and covers. Take the over.

Ole Miss vs. Florida

This is the final of three ACC vs SEC matchups, and it has national, as well as regional implications. FSU starts a brand new QB, but they are well stocked everywhere else, and Dalvin Cook is a legitimate Heisman candidate. The Rebel Bears counter with all star candidate QB Chad Kelly, and a talented roster of their own
Ole Miss has had a turmoil fillef off season, and while it was calm in Tallahassee, they have had plenty of their own off the field drama in recent years. To fall back on clichés, the team that makes the fewest mistakes win. Nothing is clear cut here, and I expect a nail biter.

PJ's picks - FSU wins but does not cover, take the under.

USC versus Alabama

It is almost here. The unveiling of the new edition. We will learn who the new QB is (Bateman is my guess) and the starting RB (Scarborough IMO). Will we live up to the hype? My crimson colored glasses say yes
Offensively we have so much receiver talent that we can punish those who try to double on Ridley. That same talent helps clear the way for the running game by keeping the bad guys from stacking the box.

Defensively, we face a team with lots of talent that lacks experience at LT and QB. I think we move the ball very well all night. USC will make some plays on offense, but nowhere near enough.

PJ's picks - Bama wins and covers
I like the over.

@psychojoe next week games, I can't wait to see how you pick them. UK vs UF, Middle Tenn. vs Vandy, USCe vs Miss. St, Va. Tech vs UT and maybe Jacksonville St vs LSU. All the others including Bama are playing cupcakes. But, can we call then cupcakes now? The way that some played this weekend? If I was playing with real money I would had better that Florida would had put 35+ on the U MASS.
