🏈 PFF: Top-10 Returning Players at Each Position

It would be, but I'm getting myself prepared for one after a historic season and breaking in some new bucks. Was basically just stating a loss or two won't ruin my excitement for seeing some new faces out there that were heavily recruited.
Will likely win differently than last year but will still win. The D will be improved and the offense will take a dip. Simply hard to not dip compared to the historic offensive year. The D has some experienced studs coming back so they will be harder to move the ball against consistently.

The scoring offense went up last season over Tua's year by a little over a point. They jumped around three points when they moved from the Tua/Hurts combination to Tua in '19. That brings me to my point, 2017 under Hurts.

The offense scored around 37 game back in '17. I don't see the Tide going back to those numbers. They are better at QB and deeper, as well as more talented, at RB. The receivers were as young as they are this season, but more potential.

It's my opinion the offense will still average 40 or more per game which would put them as a top 15 offense season's end. Top five like the last two seasons? I doubt it...but there are some susceptible defenses on the schedule.

The only game I can see them considering "slowing down the game" is Ole Miss due to Kiffin and Corral. And even then I don't see the holding Bama under 35.

I agree, I said dip but I still think they will be very good.

I know I know I'll get burnt for asking this, but is there zero concern about Young's height and getting the ball over the middle of the field? He moves REALLY well, but is there concern on a three step drop and hands in the air on the defensive front that we can complete a slant?

I couldn't even imagine estimating a percentage of snaps we have taken under center the last few years, but is it possible we stay in shotgun for these reasons?

@BamaFan334 He's right around Tua's height although a little lighter at his age. Jalen has an inch on him, maybe two.

He's not your ideal height. It's all about passing lanes (and that's the case with your 6'4" guys as well.)

Ya know, he's still growing. Tua at 6' when he was in Tuscaloosa? Okay.

I never got to stand near Tua while he was at Alabama. I hate it because even with season tickets I think I only got to see him play in person like once. Kids are a little older now and very interested, so we should see our in-person experience see an uptick.

They doing Fan Day this year, y'all think?

Following up on the passing lanes reference, Young can use his legs to move around enough to open up the passing lanes. To me this was a strength of Mac Jones. He would move a small amount right or left to open up the passing lane. The balance for someone like Young being mobile, you can over compensate instead of just making smaller movements to accomplish the same thing. I would say Hurts fit into the over compensate bucket while at Bama.
