@Scrape&Search1032 seems to be itching for some football talk like a crackhead tweaking under a Memphis overpass, so I'll throw this one out for him (and everyone else). Going into this 2025 season, give me your positional rankings for this Alabama team based on the confidence you have in each group. Do it however you wish, I'll put mine all together but you can separate offense and defense if you want (I'm also leaving off special teams with mine). And in terms of "confidence", at least with my list, I'm taking into account things like the quality of the returning players at each spot, overall depth at the position, experience, etc.

Most to least confidence
1. Cornerbacks
2. Safeties
3. Receivers
4. Offensive Line
5. Off Ball Linebackers (Mike & Stinger)
6. Defensive Line
7. Outside Linebackers (Wolf)
8. Running Backs
9. Quarterbacks
10. Tight Ends

Am I the only one not really concerned about the quarterback position? I have a ton of faith we have two guys that can get it done. I think we are going to excel there and make our receivers very happy this year.
No. Not really.

Look up the Crain and Company video on YT with Josh Pate...some concise stuff there on the position(s.)

FWIW, just in terms of my ranking, I wouldn't say it's really a concern... it's just an unknown of how it all goes. Hardly any meaningful game snaps at QB, and while he (Simpson) has tons of ability, that weighs it down for me compared to some other spots. Been a good while since UA went into the year without a top 3 QB in the league. That's not to say he doesn't end up Top 3, but anyone putting him there now is relying simply on blind faith, IMO.

I completely agree though that the WR's are going to help Simpson. As will the OL and having Grubb on staff. I think the run game will be more dynamic and impactful that some too, but as a group, they are also pretty inexperienced.

To me the trenches have been the issue at Bama on both sides for awhile. Not sure if stats prove that out but it seems that way.. They have been good but not great or dominating when it was really needed. Combine that with the inconsisent/erratic play at QB and you get what we have seen.

On Simpson we are just not going to know until pressure is applied in live action. I am expecting a good year from him but QB play depends a lot on how well those around him play. They will need to provie it to me expecially the OL. Every year I hear this group is going to be great but they fall well short of that.
