If only they could move those goal posts three yards to the left or right, those kicking problems would be solved.
Today I bring you some good news.
Good news about a good kid who has stared tough times in the face and bounced back.
The
Alabama Football team held a scrimmage on Saturday, and while detailed stats were not released, word has it that kicker Will Reichard of Hoover kicked two field goals of over 50 yards.
Will Reichard had a tough 2019 season, as his high expectations were shattered when he suffered a hip pointer early in the season.
He then re-aggravated the injury weeks later.
Over the past year, Will has worked very hard in getting healthy. He has rehabbed the injury, he has worked out tirelessly and he has kept the faith as he has worked to return to form.
Will's family has been a huge part of his comeback, as his mom Dana and sister Taylor have supported one another after Gary Reichard died of pancreatic cancer just four years ago at the age of 53.
Will forged on, working hard to become the nation's top high school kicker as he remembered every tip his father had offered.
Crimson Tide kickers see lots of criticism on Twitter and social media.
I hope you can take a moment to give the former Hoover Buc your best as he's been looking good in practice.
If Will gets back to 100 percent, you are going to see one of the most talented kickers in college football turn some heads this fall.
And then the Bama folks won't have to worry about moving those goal posts.
