These college athletes are getting a free education, the same one that I will be paying for for a long time. If they don't hustle and then get upset when they get booed, they shouldn't be playing football. If I heard boos, I would try to prove the boo birds wrong. Most of these athletes have everything handed to them. They are treated like royalty, they should play like royalty.
I wouldn't say they have everything handed to them. Many come from middle class homes like me and you. They work hard physically and in the classroom, to get into a college(see Terrence Cody interview). They also have to maintain grades to participate in sport. My point is, they aren't all spoiled brats.

good point on the clearly....

How are you to know whether the boo birds had any effect on him? (clearly not a fact)

It was a comment made by one of the sideline coaches for the Titans...can't recall which one...just something I overheard with ESPN Radio in the background at work. The way I took the comment was Vince had mentioned something along those lines to the coach when he came off the field.

I was collating some proposals a few feet away from the computer so I may have misunderstood what he was saying but it didn't seem so considering the way the conversation continued by the hosts.

I think it's the Madden curse....

You make some good points. And I realize some of them come from some rough backgrounds to make it this far. However, there are a lot of students who are not athletes that worked just as hard. They work to maintain grades and many have jobs. Guess what happens when they do a half ass job at work? When a player doesn't do his job, he may not start, but he still gets free education, and a free pass from people like Porter just for being on the football team. Go hard or go home is what I say. How may people booed the crackhead for fumbling last year against LA Monroe? Did he deserve it or does he get a free pass too?

About the Tulane game, while other people are questioning the way Bama played, I'm trying to keep a positive attitude about the game. I know Bama didn't play like they really know how to play but I think they just winged that game. I know it sounds crazy but CNS only has 2 moods, pleased and pissed. He never really seemed pissed after the game like he usually would. I just wonder if they took it a little easy on Tulane since they were going through alot. . I HOPE the game plan was just to play enough to win and let Tulane have a good game instead of getting slaughtered. But like I said, it's just trying to be positive. I'm tired of having negative thoughts about the way Bama plays like I have the past few years. So before yall start thinking I'm crazy, I'm just thinking positive so don't PLEASE don't start bashing me. Please? :)
