🏈 One thing that I noticed from Wednesday's PC.....

Coach Saban is getting more and more comfortable with his surroundings as the ALABAMA head football coach. He was very clear that everyone, from the administration to the players themselves work hard and very well together to secure the recruits that we have. You could tell he had a little extra pep in his step so to speak.

I really think this is where Coach Saban finishes his career as a football coach.

yeah, you could easily see the gratification and pure enthusiasm in Saban. as much as i like how focused and serious he is most of the time, i was equally moved to see him so joyful. before he even greeted the press you saw a big smile emerging on his face. i love it!

You have to figure that a man who loves and dedicates himself to the sport of college football like he does has to appreciate a serious football fan base and all that comes with it at a place like Alabama. I've lived in Louisiana and, for sure, there are wonderful people there. But, as good of a fan base as they have, they don't come close to Alabama in terms of the number of fans who seriously understand and live for the game - like he does. He sounds like he recognizes and appreciates that.

Can't agree more. One of the most passionate coaches when it comes to his job, is equally matched by one of the most passionate fan bases in all of the US.

Dre Kirkpatrick cited the classic example in my mind. The day before signing day he stops at this little gas station in his town where a old lady stops him and asks if he is Dre. After answering to the affirmative, she tells him how proud she is of him (Old Lady knows who he is, what he's done, and cares enough to have a opinion about his efforts). She adds that he "...don't need to go anywhere far cause (he) has plenty of people who love him right here. An old lady is recruiting Dre at a gas station. Classic.

I'll take this old lady's recruiting over Lance Thompson's any day.

So true and the family atmosphere is something special. One of the more important things is football is to fight with and for the person next to you, like a family should.
