📝 One spot opens. RB Justin Taylor decides to...

We've got 27 commits, one already signed with Dixon. He's a back counter so that puts us at 26, minus Taylor puts us at 25 and we've got two more back counters left.

I don't know about academic casualties. I'm sure they've looked closer than ever at qualifying with the new rules in place.

I see us getting two more...who knows if we'll grayshirt a few more as well.

What's with this Matt Scalici character? Any negative spin you can possibly put on a story....

Every time I've dealt with Matt he's come across as a good guy. I saw those quotes Matt is referring to on AJC.com this morning. It's easy to put a spin on it that makes us look bad.

By Justin's account, it looks like the gray shirt may have not been discussed. It's not the first time it's happened under Saban.

I don't like it.

The blog entry on AJC.com really paints this in a bad light. I do have to weigh that against what this staff has accomplished in Georgia the last few years along with the knowledge they are really going to be mad Feb. 2013.

Is this from a recruiting standpoint? We seem to be really cherry picking the Peach State now (which I LOVE!). Heck, I hated we missed out on that big DE Jenkins. Crowell was one I am glad that UGA kept in their backyard, especially in retrospect.

Yes, from a recruiting standpoint.

I've mentioned it a few times Greg. I know Brandon and Jason have as well. But, it's been just a fleeting comment here or there. You've probably just forgotten the conversations.

There's a real good chance the top two players in the nation will hail from Georgia next season. It's a given it'll be the top two in the state and almost as much of a given they'll both be in the top five nationwide.

Both considered Bama leans right now...

Very nice. Yeah, I probably didn't pay much attention to comments about 2013 prospects unless they already made an early commitment. I know one thing, the hype machine is already building for the UGA 2012 season and if they drop any games, especially early, these fans will literally start bursting blood vessels and recruits will look the other way because of the turmoil that will cause. Bulldog fans consider this last season mediocre at best and they know the 2012 schedule favors them again and they want results, yesterday!

I'll never forget when Donnan brought in all of his top prospects for the AU game one year. AU was up by about 30 or so at halftime and the UGA fans were throwing objects and booing. I don't think it would take that much to see that scene played out again in Athens.

Not so much of a surprise...the most surprising part is how long it took for this to happen. Drake and Yeldon are plenty for RB's in this class.

I think the staff if happy with Alec Morris, but would, without a doubt, take Jameis Winston. Which, now that I think about it, might open up another spot...maybe I'm getting ahead on myself!

Tim Watts indicated recently that there could be academic issues from Casey Gladney. Terry, I think he;s fron SC. You heard anything?

His coach mentioned that back in August or September. Before the season started Casey was told the staff would check back with him in the fall to see how he was doing with his grades. As of October, word out of Cola was his grades were improving.

I don't know anything about his GPA or his test scores.
