| FOOD On the way home this morning I got nauseated as soon as I passed Starbucks (Pumpkin season again.)

Cashless was fast and easy at BD over weekend. I like it. Seems digging for 20s is a thing of past.

Even guys selling up and down aisles took CCards.
Yeah but you lose your "freedom" by not having to have a bunch of bills in your wallet. I can't imagine how free it must feel to lose said wallet or have it stolen and all those bills plus any cards you have be gone either... /s

Since you're injecting this into the thread, I'd say it's more privacy and choice. I like carrying cash in my pocket. It's usually a fraction of what the phone in my other pocket is worth. If you've had a lost or compromised credit or debit card, it's cancelled and you're out of luck until the replacement is in hand. The only exception was when I had some fraud on my Amex, once I confirmed the card was in my possession, they kept the card turned on for chip purchases only until the new card showed in two days. That was pretty refreshing compared to the kneejerk debit card vendors.

I use my Amex for many purchases, and I know that in exchange for the benefits I receive from using it, I'm leaving a trail. It's a choice I make, I'm not keen on being told.

So ho many times u lost or had wallet stolen

Lets see... me 1 time in VN 50+ years ago...had no money or cc.
Nice wallet though.

Wife had her purse stolen 3 hours before the Bama - Miami game last year in Atlanta. Huge nightmare. Had 4 dang debit cards, credit card and what we didn’t know, she had a check book in there. Found that out 3 days later when $4,800 worth of checks all cleared a checking account. Fools wrote checks to themselves and signed my name, obviously a girl’s handwriting. And 2 of them deposited the checks! Had the bank routing info and account info on the back. Doubt the bank even tried to go after them though.
