post more...lol let get a 2 week thread!

I haven't posted on the board since last October, but with all due respect...take down the pic of the Chucky Mullins bust. Or atleast the caption...

We can have a few laughs and still maintain respect. I'm all for "farks" and funny pics, but part of being a fan is also showing class and respect.

If you don't know who Chucky Mullins was, then I do not blame you, but for those who know his story and have even visited his grave, he deserves our greatest respect.

Chucky is a fallen hero in my book. :)

The photo of the 3 year old makes me want to slap the $*#( out of someone.

Meh. I would not really want my kid doing that and I can see your point, but it is pretty harmless imho.
She is too young to really know what she is doing and the adults probably saw her go after the bottle and thought it was funny. I feel confident saying that they probably did not let her actually drink any beer. Who knows?

What's wrong with the picture of the bust. I don't see them doing anything uncool or even funny in that picture. I just thought it was a picture of them doing something like Clemson does with the rock.

You're correct. The pic itself is fine. The Ole Miss players always touch the bust of Chucky Mullins before the game.

However, the caption is not funny. The pic was obviously posted only b/c a "funny" caption would be associated with it.

The caption isn't funny, in respect to the man in question...Chucky Mullins.

Just my 2 cents. I just thought it wouldn't hurt to be respectful.

EDIT: Thanks for removing the caption. :)
I wasn't trying to be a smart butt, but thanks for the respect.

I agree....that is some sissy beer...get a Bud Light :D

Bud Light = Belgium beer

Great American Lager :? :? :? Who would have ever thought Budweiser would be sold to another country....what a shame

My husband works for a Budweiser distributor. It actually was a better move for them. They get to distribute all their products in over 10 countries they never got to before. Also Budweiser is still brewed here. (che)

I believe he also was one of Alabama's own son from The Russelville area. I had not heard of him until this thread.

Here is a linky to a DVD and his life story in film....(Google is your friend)

http://www.chuckymullins.com/

I got the DVD back in February. One of the BEST documentary style productions I've ever seen.

For those who are curious...I did a school paper on Chucky when I was 9 years old. Just months after his accident in 1989. I've been to the grave 4 times and share his story whenever I get the chance.

Research the relationship between Chucky and Brad Gaines...it's certainly worth the time.

SportsCenter did a GREAT piece on Brad Gaines, but the link to the media file is dead. I found it on one of the Ole Miss sites.

Make no mistake, I hope Bama wipes the field with Ole Miss, but when it comes to Chucky Mullins...my views are certainly different.

EDIT: FOUND THE LINK ON MYSPACE! This aired a couple of years ago!
