and the ACC reported increased the exit fees to $50m (this is way too high in my opinion)

Seems that ND still swings a big stick, can't believe the ACC didn't force them into football - maybe there is a long term strategy for them to slide into the super tough ACC.

I hate Notre Dame always have and always will. Why they get by with so much crap is beyond me. Telling conferences we will join in this sport but not the other. And how do they get by as the only school by them selves that can get the same vote as a conference does. It just totally pisses me off. I hate them!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I had read back during the summer they were going to do this with the Texas League (Big12)

I think I heard that they will play 5 ACC opponents per season. If they are playing 5 ACC opponents, then why not just be in the conference? Unless of course, they want one foot in and one foot out. Strange bunch up there in South bend. :icon_scratch:

Not sure why they wouldn't just go ahead and join the big 10. Its not like its a hard football conference, makes more sense geographically, and is a good basketball conference.

I wonder how playing those 5 ACC opponents affects their other traditional games they play annually (UM, Mich State, USC, Stanford..)

I bet their 5 ACC opponents end up being Duke, Virginia, Boston College, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh. Syracuse and Pitt start ACC play next season, so that will be just in time to make ND's permanent schedule!
