This is a futile. I think last year USC went back and acknowledged two Championships from years ago and now count them towards their overall championships. All in all we have been screwed out of several championships d/t bias in different forms. We are not the only school to have been screwed out of a championship either.

Having said that this article is written by an Alabama Polytechnical Institute fan and wreaks of penile envy. I figure it to be a wash...considering the ones we actually claim verses the ones we got screwed out of it is all probably even.

Interesting. The Barner had Arkansas as an SEC team in 1965.

The only one I'd agree with him on was the 1941 team. 64,65 and 73 weren't unanimous, by any means, but they certainly were awarded based on the criteria set by the polls, whether UPI or AP. I cans ee how rival fans would question the 1964 and 1973 championships, but using the barner's own logic, in 1966 we were 11-0, an SEC school which had a better record than Michigan State 10-0-1 or Notre Dame 9-0-1. He's just whining because no one recognizes their 2004 NC awarded by the Opelika carwash and school of cosmetology. The Barn has exactly zero NCs that are undisputed.

I think they realize that Auburn's day of reckoning looms over them like a funnel cloud at a Opelika trailer park. I look for more and more of this kind of garbage as the season gets near. Its bad when instead of talking about the accomplishments of your own team you have to spend all of your time analyzing ours.

You want to read some real facts try this:

1 Mediocre coach + 1 trip to Arkansas to flirt with the Hogs and duck hunt + 1 weak recruiting season= disaster on the plains. Get ready Bama fans!

Jeebus, I could never imagine a situation where I would spend that much time and effort writing an article on another school, especially while trying to discredit AP National Titles. This is further proof that if it wasn't for The University of Alabama's football program, the barn fans would have nothing to talk about. They remind me of Red Sox fans whining about the Yankees, only difference is, the Red Sox have some recent hardware.

I stopped getting angry with Auburn fans on this subject about two years ago. There is always two sides to every story, and everyone has their opinions. Fact of the matter is, we have 12 NC's. Unless the NCAA sends out a written document that says we don't(which wouldn't be shocking), I'm gonna stand by the number 12.

Quite honestly it doesn't matter how many they take away. We will always be known as a University rich with tradition.

Truth be told, NCAA credits Alabama with 17 NC's.

The NCAA doesn't credit anyone with national championships, which is really the rub.

Since NCAA division one...oops...bowl series...doesn't award a national championship, it creates all the bullcrap.

They actually recognize every single claim to NC's, which is why Bama could technically claim 17.
