| MBB/WBB đźŹ€ No. 9/9 Alabama Outlasts No. 14/13 Houston, 83-82, to Claim Second-Straight Top-15 Win

New AP Poll is a joke. #4 UCLA ahead of #5 Gonzaga, who is ahead of Alabama at #6. Hell, there's an argument to be made for Arizona to be over both.

And I'm sorry, but Villanova is not a top 10 team right now either. Their best win is to a Tennessee squad with offensive identity issues. Honestly, Auburn probably needs to be in the top 10 for the way they've played.

Houston players pitched a fit after the game. One player did his best to rectify his teammates' wrongs.

From Rick Karle's fb page:

In the midst of Saturday night’s chaotic basketball game in Tuscaloosa came a gesture that should be recognized.
I’d like to tell you about it.
Bama beat Houston 83-82 after a final attempt from the Cougars failed to fall.
Houston coach Kelvin Sampson insisted that Bama should have been called for goaltending.
Coach Sampson and some of his players had to be restrained from going after the officials.
On the way to the locker room, one Houston player broke a chair while kicking it and also tipped over a garbage can.
As the Houston players stomped into the locker room, Houston sophomore guard Jamal Shead, while disappointed, calmly walked over to the trash can and picked up all of the garbage that was strewn on the floor.
While much of the behavior exhibited by the Cougars was uncalled for (Coach Sampson has personally called Bama AD Greg Byrne to apologize), seeing Jamal Shead do the right thing and show courtesy by picking up a mess was classy and heartfelt.
And for that Jamal is appreciated.
