The preceding is provided as evidence of the failure of "no child left behind."
Thanks Mr. Ford. It appears that reading comprehension is not required of math and computer science double majors.
You are a typical internet - drive-by flamer. You go to an Alabama message board mouthing off about how great your backs are, and how we should not even show up, then you get all huffy when someone doesn't kneel in your presence to receive their helping of your smack.
I feel sorry for you...I really do.
Maybe you can understand this.

I now consider bama the Gamecocks of the state of Alabma. Auburn would be the school of class of Alabama, just as Clemson is the school that has class in South Carolina. I am assuming the standards to get into Alabama are a bit lower than Auburn, just as getting into gamecockville are a bit lower than Clemson. If you want to argue, post average SAT or ACT scores for incoming freshman. If you do not, I would assume my assumptions are correct.
tigerinnebraska1 said:I checked your links.
Has nothing to do with incoming freshman academics.
Either you are too stupid to link, or admitting I am correct.

Dude. You're brain dead. For starts, YOU came to this site. We didn't come poking our nose in someone else's living room. Then YOU decided you wanted to "evaluate" the Alabama Nation by making a generalization based on an assessment from a Forum--after YOU start making trouble? That is no way to know what anybody, much less a population of several million, is like. Then, when you thrust the trash talking on us, WE began using humor and/or even trying to help you make an intelligent point and argument -- the mental equivalent of carrying you around the bases like those softball players in Washington. Apparently too classy for you. Then when you keep-on keepin'-on, we humor you and play your little game, which goes against the long established nature displayed on the site -- something that you failed to research before charging in making Clemson fans everywhere ashamed.
Your attempt most recent effort to change the argument, with the ACT / SAT angle, is weak as well. You started talking about the teams, then the stadium/fans/facilities, and now its changed again. Pointless. However, here you go.
Considering that such scores are legally protected (like medical records) unless freely released by the individual, you are not likely to be able to get the information you need. But one thing you can do is compare institutions academically (Here I go being classless and trying to help your argument). Try this.

BAMA #42 Clemson #104 AUBURN #98
( BTW, South Carolina was #92 )

BAMA #92 CLEMSON #62 AUBURN #96
In the end, this angle proves only that both school can impress Business magazines...which mean nothing on a FOOTBALL Forum and even less on the field. What's next? Ranking comfort satisfaction of mattresses in Freshmen dorms?
Grow up. Be civil. Help your school by not coming across like a dill weed. Passion for your team is one thing, but if you can't help but be an Arse do CLEMSON a favor and don't associate your name with them.

for the record, this thread is nauseating.
i think the most important point we're all missing here is that Clemson's uniforms are butt ugly... even worse than the barn's. They look like something a 2nd grader would make up on one of those playstation football games where you "design your own team".
all they need is a big lightning bolt on the front and it would be complete.

No way. Danny Ford!?tigerinnebraska1 said:Danny Ford was coach when clemson won national championship. Clemson got put on probation for what Pell did when he was the coach. Reply requested by me, admity you were wrong.
Wikipedia said:"After graduating from Gadsden High School in Gadsden, Alabama in 1966, Ford was an All-SEC selection on the field and off the field under Paul "Bear" Bryant at Alabama, where he played in three bowl games. He received a bachelor's degree in industrial arts in 1970 and later received a master's degree in special education in Tuscaloosa in 1971. He coached as an assistant at Alabama, Virginia Tech, and Clemson prior to being named the head coach at Clemson."

I know your return guy is good also and has stats simular to Fords. I would think we will kick away from him because special teams coverage has been a nagging problem for a few years. Special teams in general have been a nightmare. We blew two games the last two years snapping the ball over the punters head. It almost was the difference vs FSU. When it rains it pours.
He never compared Virginia to Clemson. He compared the ACC to the SEC. To show us all that he is knowledgeable about ACC football he told us that he has season tickets to Virginia football. He also informed us that he is a high school football coach therefore giving further proof that he knows something about football.
To reiterate
1. He goes to Virginia football games
2. Virginia and Clemson play in the ACC
3. Sometimes teams from the ACC visit Virginia
4. He watches both ACC teams as they compete on the field
5. In his opinion the ACC isn't close in terms of speed or strength to the SEC
6. He is a high school football coach so his opinion is valued a little higher than most
