Feature: A profanity filter in which you, the members, can control whether you want it leave it on and remove profane words or turn it off.
With some people the use of profanity and vulgarity offends. With others, like me, it matters little: if anything.
I do agree it appears some go overboard. But, I'm not inclined to get upset about how someone speaks, how they voice their opinions, or the language they use to do so.
So, in an effort to placate both groups of people we've configured a profanity filter in which you, as our members, control what you see and what you don't.
The attached slide show (next post) will take you through a step-by-step process on how to turn the profanity contents on and off.
>Go to your profile
>Click Preferences
>Scroll down and select "Enable Profanity Content" to turn the filter OFF. (Click on the first thumbnail to open the slide show.)

You'll also notice how this thread is highlighted at the top of the thread index. I'm going to use the term "beta stage" for this feature considering I'm still in the middle of configuring how it'll work on each forum, with each template, etc.
The intent with the "Featured Thread" modification will be to highlight different threads with each sport. As example, with football, we'll be using this option for our "Live Game Threads." Sunday's and Monday's we'll use it for reports and recaps of Saturday's game. More to come on how it will be implemented.
**For you new guys: If you aren't familiar with our "Live Game Thread" hack you'll like it during football games. If you follow the games online and comment, or watch, game threads to keep up with fans opinions and observations this eliminates the need to refresh your screen (or repeatedly hit f5.) The thread automatically updates itself every few seconds so it basically streams just like a live chat room BUT continues to offer all the options found in a basic thread.
Any questions? Feel free to ask!
