Too bad that the tickets are too steep for me right now, would like to take advantage of decent prices for concessions.

Wow! Those are cheap!

A couple of years ago, my wife and I went to Nashville to watch the USMNT play a tune up v. Guatemala. Two Dasanis and a pretzel: $5 each, so...$15 for bread and water. I went to the concession stand before the second half kicked off. The nearest stand was nearly out of everything else. Hope Atlanta can do better.

Arthur Blank is holding true to his word on creating a more fan friendly and affordable venue. Most of us of course didn't believe anyone would actually do that, but it appears they are doing it. Hopefully they aren't sacrificing any level of quality, if you can call it that. The Braves should take notice.

Wow! Make sure you look through the pictures and read the captions (examples below)

The eight cantilevered petals of the stadium's kinetic cap, which look like pie slices (drawing 1), slide open on the diagonal (drawings 2 and 3), while they give the illusion of spinning. Roof-cap petals open onto the 70-ft-deep trusses of the flat, fixed roof - an eight-pointed star in a plan - in less than 10 minutes (drawing 4)

Nodes at truss intersections contain as many as 15 members coming in at many different angles. Rotating 3D-model views help with shop-drawing approvals.

The roof of the stadium contains 27,500 tons of steel. The flat, fixed roof has 17,000 tons, much of it in a two-way truss system that is 70 ft deep and spans as much as 723 ft. Kinetic patels of the upper roof weight 3,200 tons. the nonorthogonal layout of the longspan trusses - determined by the roof's oval opening - complicated structural analysis, fabrication and erection.
