If you go with the "current" rankings argument, which I'm not a huge fan of but that's the standard that most seem to always want to hold Alabama to, then the Tide has played 2 Top 7 teams in 4 games. They beat UGA by 17 and Texas A&M by 28. Pretty impressive considering a few days ago half the staff needed to be fired and Saban was quarantined in his attic with the bat flu.

Where’s Auburn? Oh I see them under others listed now

Honestly shocked they have that many votes...
Wait! Wait! Wait!
Where is UCF?
Somebody made a huuuuge mistake!

I saw about 3 minutes of the UCF/Memphis game (the ending), which was just enough to see a UCF's kicker try to fight another UCF player and leave me with a smile.

Well, we definitely know the 2020 polls don’t take into account strength of schedule. Clemson’s a very good team but they’re in an extremely weak conference. Alabama’s a very good team and they’re in an extremely strong conference. Yet, six ACC teams and only four SEC teams are ranked. What a joke. This will, even more so this season than usual, provide Clemson with a huge advantage to not only make the playoffs but it will also give them a huge advantage going into the playoffs. To get there they in essence will have played the equivalent of eight scrimmages, one Spring game (Miami) and one regular season game (Norte Dame). They can start preparing for their playoff opponents at any time with a very well rested roster.

Look here if the teams that haven't played a down wasn't in the Top 25. Then these team would be Memphis ,Oklahoma , Tulsa , West Virginia , Auburn , Iowa 42; Louisiana-Lafayette .

The fact that Notre Dame is third is laughable...I would so love to get a match up with them....however Clumpson is gonna expose the domers.

...and just like their Miami win, they'll get over inflated media credit for it. Not that they need it, IMO, they are deserving of their ranking, but yes, ND is ranked way too high.

Only 8 first place votes...Bitchslapped the #3 team while the "#1" team beat up a patsy...I knew Clemson would still be #1; however, I thought Bama would have garnered quite a few more first-place votes.
They picked up a few only have two after week six, eight after week seven (AP poll.) UGA had one in week six, Clemson had 59 (now 54.)
