Interesting chart. I would have never guessed Soccer's ratio to be that high.

Note: These percentages are based on estimated data and should be considered approximations of the actual percentages.

planomateo Soccer ratio? Are you talking about the 5.9% making it to NCAA competition as being high?

When the SEC added A&M and Mizzou I got lost one day looking at programs that some schools fielded and others in the SEC didn't—wrestling and the Big12 is what brought it to mind.

I have no idea how many high schools offer soccer around the states. When I looked (to the best of my recollection) UofSC was the only SEC school that has a men's soccer team.

The last time I looked there were a little over 200 D1 soccer programs. I didn't look at the numbers for DII or DIII. It's a greater number that I thought it would be...

What about a stat of percentage from high school to NCAA? That’s what I was asking. But, I would imagine Marvin Bracy found somewhere to go INSTEAD of finishing college, so there is money to be made in track after or in lieu of college. Michael Johnson claims to have made more money than an NFL player. There doesn’t have to be a league to make money.

TheChief There's something going on between in the interface from the device you're using to post...or, you've got some weird changes going on with your font. Next time you're wired, look over your history. I've changed the font type a few times...
