Here we are folks, its game day. A historic game for the old timers and from the looks of it a old school game of power football. Who said high power offenses are the trend? Defense wins championships. I often wonder when the high power offensive teams will get it? You have to have at least a solid defense in order to pull off a championship. Kelly got it, Sumlin is getting it, the very reason ND is in this game is because of defense. A guy that had high power offenses in the past, sucked it up and built a defense. Is it enough? We will see, but from my point of view, Notre Dame will have to play a close to perfect game in order to bring that crystal home.

This isn't a crimson colored glasses kind of post, its just facts. Stop our running game and control the front line on both sides of the ball and the crystal is theirs. Tall order if you ask me. I like many others thought that Notre Dame's days are done, they will have to drop the scholastic levels down in order to compete. I was wrong, the whole nation and even ND fans were wrong. Am I wrong about the outcome of this game? We will see. Notre Dame is relevant again. Alabama is relevant again, my how the times changed, or have they? If you go from a historic perspective, Notre Dame will keep on trusting in Touch Down Jesus, and pull out another victory, be careful we don't want to wake up the past.

So for the love of the game, and all things historic, lets see the dual RB tandem the O line and one of the best defenses in the country this year bring this Alabama football team back to the glory years, and bring back that crystal. Some unfinished business is in order tonight. Roll Tide Roll!!!
