šŸ€ Nate Oats seemed to have something not so nice to say to LSU’s Will Wade

Would rather Oats not do something like this but if your going to do so at least it is against the clown Wade. My expectation is that the LSU team we saw yesterday will be a fading memory by next year including their coach. This of course assumes the NCAA does their job.

Gotta give it to both teams, they both can talk some trash, but I am beyond shocked none of the three games came to blows. That's pretty good control of behavior on both sides.

Still unsure of what started the confrontation before the game, but imagine that's what Oats was responding to with this gesture.

They were joking around before the game not sure there is much to this from where I sat it looked like he was just celebrating.
A few things I know and a few things I'm speculating on here.

I've watched Wade and LSU at least a dozen times this season along with the three times against Bama. Wade has been "buddy, buddy" with all of the SEC coaches. Seeing them joke around before the game, even with the crap before tip-off, doesn't shock me.

Bill Armstrong is the guy you need to pay attention to here. Wade's back is turned to Jones and Oats during that picture and it's Armstrong both are looking at here.

It was Armstrong that started with Petti before the game. It was Armstrong, as well as that team, that's been chirpy all year.

Herb was looking right at Armstrong.

Notice where the ref is in that pic? In my opinion he's hearing the same thing after the game as he did before and instead of quickly running off as they often do he stopped.

There is no love lost between Alabama's coaching staff and LSU's. Coaching staff's get pissed off when recruits are bought out from underneath them. And, you'll see them friendly with each other on game days. (See Hugh Freeze as another example.)

Talking a lot of shit is just one of LSU's cultural problems and here's one they, once again, haven't backed up.

I'm just glad to see Coach O getting after the pathetic SEC officials. You can complain about judgement calls all day long, but the in-bound play near the end was not a judgment call... unless you call counting to 5 a judgment. Pathetic.

Bill's dad, Jimmy was a pretty good player and coach back in the day. He played at Jeff St. and transferred to the University of North Alabama. He coached me my senior year of high school in 78-79 in Florence. The next year, he moved to Gardendale and then to Oneota. I think he finished up coaching golf at Hoover.

Hate seeing this happen Sunday but tempers get hot sometimes.

I remember Jimmy from his G’dale days. He had Alan Ogg, all 7’+ of him and couldn’t get out of the area tournament. One of my uncle’s was coaching at Banks HS and they faced G’dale and Ogg at G’dale. Banks blew their doors off by 25-30!!

LOL, I remember when Ogg played for UAB. I was a kid, but he was the tallest person I had ever seen in person at the time. It was like he was 10 feet tall.

My uncle had a 5’7ā€ kid running point and two kids that were 6’4ā€ and they would come flying down on the break and that PG would look one way and lob the other and those boys would take turns dunking on Ogg’s head!!
