🏈 My disappointment!

Get over it. The players are showing emotion. I'm glad they are excited. And its nothing worse than they have done all year. GMAC did it when he was coming out to take the knee in the victory formation. Dareus did it because he scored probably the only TD he'll ever score in football. And Ingram, well he can do whatever the heck he wants.lol! Just kidding.

Its emotion and they are human and they were on the biggest stage in the game.

First of all, I am not entirely sure that Dareus even realized what he was doing due to the extreme improbability of a man of his size and speed ever having anything like that happen to him.

He was in another world, emotion wise, especially after his deft twirling action that propelled him onto pay dirt in what was most assuredly the biggest game of his life.

Take his action and compare it to Hernandez of the Gator's who, after already having an insurmountable lead against poor old FSU, took the time to set himself and do a Heisman pose before slinging the ball to the upper decks.

Naw, give Dareus a break and stop being such a stiff old curmudgeon.

Also, pay more attention to the actions of the players on the field of play, where actions matter. Teenagers goofing off on the sidelines is hardly an area that needs critiquing by an uninvolved adult fan.

Watch how, after plowing opposing players into the turf, almost to a man, the Alabama players offer a hand up.

That is class.

Pay attention to how, when an opposing player is stood up, 'Bama players don't pile on and bring him to the ground no matter how many whistles are blowing.

Instead, they pat the guy on the back and release him without having to prove they are better men by actually making him touch the ground.

That is class.

Observe the way in which, even when it wouldn't be a late hit, many 'Bama defenders go out of their way to not inflict a devastating hit on an unprotected QB.

That is class.

So many good things to talk about and so little negative.

Bingo!

I apologize for only mentioning the negative. I am very proud of our players and their play. Having a single thread only about the negative is unfair and even perceived as ungreatful for the accomplishments of the game.

I won't be an apologist because we won the NC though. Our coach is trying to build a team of men with great character. Those actions I'm sure are not appreciated by Coach Saban as well. Those 'calling attention to yourself actions' can cost the team. The double throat slash is a penalty not much different than a middle finger. I love Ingram but he is better than that.

Dareus penalty...understandable...didn't cost us but could have. Remember coach running down the sidelines...read his lips..looks like 'Marcel..what the f**k are you doing'...and it wasn't about scoring.

I would like every non Bama fan look at us on every level with adornment and envy...being jealous of great men on our team.

I guess I disagree what 'class' is with some. Not hitting a qb late..to me is not classy but is smart.

I'm sure coach don't want to make robots out of these young men or discourage their excitement during the game but Saban's philosophy is clear...don't call attention to yourself and don't play unsportsmanlike football.

Sorry didn't mean to sound like an old fart. ROLL TIDE and lets REPEAT!!

I saw nothing wrong with what any of our players did. It wasn't overly done, it was not like they all cleared the bench to dance in the endzone like the bonehead dawgs did. It's not like they ran out and stomped the Longhorns logo, sometimes it's okay to poke the other side a little.

I still think Ingram and Julio at the SEC game was one of the greatest sideline moments this season!

BamaBacker, there are plenty of us old farts that see class differently, I understand what you mean. I am kind of favorable to just handing the ball to the refs and not all that chest pounding stuff also. I also understand the times have changed, and take it for what its worth. In the end it will still be this as you stated... " I would like every non Bama fan look at us on every level with adornment and envy...being jealous of great men on our team."

I will give them a pass, the program has went through alot of stuff these last 17 years, and to cap it off with a National title is sweet. I am on cloud 9, and enjoying every second of being alive and a Alabama Crimson Tide Fan!!!
