If we even had 10 more like him we could be talking about a much different scenario than the Independence Bowl.

I think that is priority one in the coaches office these days.

Great find Delta.

"(But there are) some people out there that just do not care, and they will not care," Mustin said. "Those are the type of weeds that you have to pull out. You regrow and you rebirth."

Hopefully Coach Saban will have a heavy dose of Round Up ready for the spring.

Thanks for the article, Delta.

that guy is awesome!!! i hate we did'nt get him for a full 4 years. i have a tremendous amount of respect for him. i hope he does well in what ever he does and with character like his, i assume he will.

I feel for guys like Mustin, Gilberry, and DJ who didn't get to experience what we know is in the future for Alabama football. I wish them all the success that life has to offer.

I got an email (sure y'all did, too) about the Indy Bowl. Gilberry urged us to buy tickets and come support them. He said, "Come see us, or I'll come see you." WHOA!

What does it say that a Senior class brought in by Shula had ZERO permanent captains; instead having the leadership filled in two walk-ons (two future Alabama CAPTAINS that wanted to come and were not offered)?

Three times in that article the "old dog and new tricks" scenario was brought up, implying that an entire Senior class (save Mustin)had bad habits too deeply engrained for Saban to change in one year. That points the blaming finger at Shula. How cold it not?

In the next couple of years we will see what Les Miles at LSU can do without the help of Nick Saban. It looks like we will also get to see what Nick Saban will be able to do without "the help" of Mike Shula.

Thanks Mustin. You a true Bama man.

We know all of this, but here is Mustin trying to lay the blame at his own feet. Wow, the respect I have for him continues to grow.

There was a similar article in the Huntsville Times. http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/huntsvilletimes/index.ssf?/base/sports/1197022795104300.xml&coll=1

I sent you an email Sat (this) morning btw. :D

I think I'd throw Gilberry in there as well
