🏈 Mosley ??

I think this one's gonna be an important lost from an athletic and speed standpoint in order to contain both Rainey and Demps going out of the backfield, but we have ton of depth and talent on the LB group to overcome this missing, so we have to be very focused on assignments and the little things, just for being able to not to allow a big blown on coverage, 'cause those guys can take it to the house from everywhere.

Anyway, I have a ton of confident on this defense...

Rather than focusing the missing LB on with Demps/Rainey wouldn't you slide an extra DB in there for them? A DB would be faster than an LB. I'm sure it's been done in the past. Who had the demps/rainey assignment in 09 or 10?

That's what I was wondering. Seems one of them was either injured and didn't play last year or played ineffectively.

That's what I'd do. Stopping up the middle doesn't seem to be much of a concern.

You know, I just love watching what gets done on defense. The schemes have been to my liking. I'm done playing armchair coordinator though. This staff is great. I'm busy on Saturday's enjoying the game. When we finally lose, hopefully someday later than this year or next, it won't be for lack of trying to execute on several schemes and plans or for lack of preparation. I'm loving this staff and this team.

Dislocated elbow, right? I'd be shocked if he played

I never heard a definitive report on what the injury was.....but how they had it bandaged up, I was under the assumption it was dislocated.

I never actually saw a definitive report but based on what I saw, that is certainly what appears to have happened. I assumed it was already announced.

Unless my eyes deceive me, he at least partially dislocated it. Unless something is torn it isn't horrible but I wouldn't chance him this week.

Reading into Saban's comments I don't think he'll play. He may end up making the difference this week, but it would be nice to have him the rest of the year vs. potentially one game.

If they use a brace of sufficient degree, the risk of a follow-on dislocation should be miminal. We do need his speed this weekend, but not at the expense of not having him for the remainder of the year.
