| FTBL More hate from espn and Chris Low(life)....

Nick Saban makes $4 million a year

I swear when will this become old news? Lester makes more than that now. Weiss and Carrol supposedly make more than that.

This guy really is a Vols fan. He's starting to look like the great pumpkin himself.

I hope we skunk the viles in Neyland this year just for this guy!

He also forgets to mention his beloved Tennessee team hasn't won a SEC Championship since '98. I guess this put's them in mediocrity as well

Blog away, Low-life. The guy is obviously filled with envy and hate for UofA. He's likely very nervous about what's going on in T'Town and with Saban's ability to dominate recruiting - even in the state of Tennessee. Add to that the fact that Alabama drubbed his beloved Vols last year and the Phat Phil subpoena last week.

The more people like this guy who spew their hatred, the sweeter it will be when the era of SEC domination finally returns to the capstone. It sounds a little like he's afraid it has already started.

Is there any other professional or collegiate team that is constantly hated on by ESPN like Alabama? I once believed it was paranoia, these days I'm convinced. I'm even starting to think they cut Reece Davis from the College Football Live lineup in spite of him being a 'Bama guy.

I really can't figure out why it is that they dislike us so much. I have to think it's because we once had a governor that tried to bar blacks from attending Alabama. Of course I'm relatively sure that Mississippi did the same as did Georgia, but who knows. Or cares.

SEC's hate-o-meter

After my long absence from the forum I would like to say im back....hopefully thats a good thing. Maybe now....

Second are the really the #1 hated team in the SEC?
And if we are i think thats SWEET!!!!

1. Alabama: Tide fans cling to the past with an obsessive desperation. Hate to break it to you, but Bear Bryant and all his brilliance ain't coming back.

Does ESPN hate us?
What a joke......

I think most Bama fans quit "clinging to the past" when CNS started making $4 million a year....

OMG Saban makes $4 million a year

I'm not liking this Low guy. He's the essence of a douche.

Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hatred and hatred leads you to be a fan of a lesser school.

That is how Master Yoda MEANT to say it.

I normally don't give one SH** about what ESPN thinks and I still don't but let me say this;

ESPN NEEDS SOME NEW MATERIAL. As do fans of all the lesser schools. They have been saying this for so long and it might have been true in the 80s but in the 90s we were to busy winning to care about the past as much. It's not true now. Those a$$holes are showing how little they know about Alabama and it's fanbase. We are NOT looking back. I am ready for the FUTURE.

I have been looking for an article to back this up, and have yet to find it, however I actually heard some respect for Alabama from an ESPN radio program on WJOX on Sunday. I turned the program on late, but I believe that it was Todd McShaye (sp?) giving his predictions for what the Top 25 would look like by the end of the season, and he had Bama ranked #6. He also said that he felt that Alabama was "one of the most underrated teams" this year. It shocked me to no end that someone from ESPN actually had something positive to say.

I haven't posted anything about it because I couldn't back it up, but it kind of went with this thread. So, if anyone also heard the broadcast, or has seen an article to same effect please back me up. :D

I think that what has stirred up the haters is that with the hire of CNS we have served notice that the routine of a pretty good team every three years and mediocrity in between is no longer acceptable to us. We weren't catching a lot of hate during the Shula years. Hiring Saban served notice to all that what we really wants is to be in the hunt for big things like SEC championships, BCS bowls and even national championships every year. They didn't like us in that mode in the past, and they are all hoping we can't get back to it.

Chris Low joined ESPN.com in 2007 after 10 years with The (Nashville) Tennessean covering the University of Tennessee and SEC. The Rock Hill, S.C., native lives with his wife in Knoxville and has three sons.

I wouldn't expect a Tennessee fan to write something nice anyway. Sounds like he was sounding off because his fat mentor has been subpoenaed. He definitely gives my first name a bad rep...

More trash from this Low-life.
Well suprise suprise, he has us losing 3 of the 5 rivalries he predicted.
http://myespn.go.com/blogs/sec/0-1-108/Rivalry-predictions--Seven-in-a-row-for-Auburn.html

1. Auburn 23, Alabama 21: Tommy Tuberville makes it seven in a row over Alabama and holds up seven fingers as he leaves the Bryant-Denny Stadium field.

2. Tennessee 21, Alabama 17: The Vols do just enough to win, and Phillip Fulmer gives his deposition afterward to Alabama attorneys while sitting in the checkerboard end zones at Neyland Stadium.

4. LSU 31, Alabama 14: This time, a bunch of Les Miles recruits lead the way for the Tigers in hammering the Tide. Nick Saban returns to the bus he came to the stadium on only to find the tires all flattened.
