🏈 Melick, Kausler, Scarbinsky = Too Optimistic

Does anyone feel that these guys are either one way too much or the other way too much? All of them seem slightly arrogant in regards to 'Bama fans and the team but, when the other team loses they jump ship.

Is that normal in the profession? Not having a backbone may be a prerequisite of the job?

Kausler, week before last, went on and on and on about Jerrell Harris, hardly mentioning the win.

Then, before that, it was that Alabama fans were only worried about being as good as the Gators. Kausler stated that it was Alabama fans main concern.

Now it's all about 'Bama and the NC, winning the crystal. They say Alabama fans are all about it. I think they are all into it. I am not buying that that is all 'Bama fans can think about.

They will build it up and then when 'BAma loses they will blame it on the FANS unreal expectations and general craziness.

He doesn't speak for me; that is for sure.

Melick and Scarbinsky are hopeless and always have been. I would just as soon not have their opinion on 'Bama.

Rant Over///////

May take a while to respond; I am working some odd hours.

I thought the Bham News only writes about Aub and you werent going to read that rag anymore?:headscratch:

Now Kozzi, did I actually say I wasn't going to read the paper any more? I did complain about biased coverage in the B-Ham news and I stand by that.

Charles Goldberg is the biggest Au**** homer in existence and has never had a negative word to say about them.

Our beat reporters all seem to be too "realistic" when it comes to 'Bama.

I just can't get enough of hearing how no loss is Chizik's fault, it all falls on Ear's doorstep. Not enough players, chemistry wasn't right when Chizik arrived, etc...

That all may be true but, where is the thinly veiled sarcasm that bleeds through what seems like any reporter the News has covering 'Bama?

Back to the discussion of last season. May I ask you why the Au**** Tigers are always listed before 'Bama in the paper? Sure, it may seem petty and juvenile to worry about that but, is there a reason for it? Alphabetically, Alabama comes before Au****. Yet, every Sunday this year, Au****'s section comes before Alabama's.

As far as color layouts go, neither 'BAma nor Au**** get those any longer; it is all black and white for both teams. UNA got a color spread in today's paper though, good for them.

Have you counted the words yet?

No answer on why Au**** has been listed before 'Bama in every Sunday edition of the paper this football season?

Alabama is ranked higher than Au****. The name Alabama alphabetically comes before Au****. Alabama wins and Au**** loses, they still get the premiere listing in the paper.

Alabama beats Ole Miss and Au**** loses to Arkansas = Au**** getting the top listing.

Alabama beats South Carolina and Au**** loses to Kentucky = Au**** getting the most publicity in the local rag.

I realize it is easy for you to ridicule what may seem like a bizarre concern on my behalf but, there has to be a reason for it.

I bet I know what it is. I bet the Birmingham News is run by Au**** homers and we all know how vindictive and malicious Au**** homers can be, right Kozzi?

Claim that high ground...first to assign too high expectations.

You know the only safe position in Saban's, in that we should look no further than today and expect nothing more than the player's best on the next play.
