Um no.One of the main reasons we got Rees is…. He knows the inner workings of Brian Kelly..
Really? Hmm what adjustments needed to be made? I'm curious?I would really love for Saban to put the S&C coaches on front street too… Would love to hear the adjustments/tweaks they implemented this year…There were obvious changes that needed to be made, especially in the trenches…
The lines were getting their asses whipped on most snaps.. the pocket and the D was moving back 5 to 7 yards as soon as the ball was snapped…So they revamped the S&C programs.. Saban wanted BRUTE strength back on the field again..Really? Hmm what adjustments needed to be made? I'm curious?
Rees has been with Kelly since he started… Kelly wanted to take him to LSU badly…Like him or not Kelly is a great offensive mind… there’s nothing wrong with admitting it…his knowledge of Kelly is nothing but an asset… Kelly will be a formidable opponent for years to come…Um no.
That was quite interesting and good news.... And ND QB could improve under different offense.
Now that makes me wonder about ND and their offense philosophy.
That has nothing to do with Rees and Kelly. Rees was one of the brightest OC.. a rising star in the circle... Tommy came to Alabama because of talent Saban has on the team and he knows if it goes well, it'll lead to HC job... not because of Kelly.Rees has been with Kelly since he started… Kelly wanted to take him to LSU badly…Like him or not Kelly is a great offensive mind… there’s nothing wrong with admitting it…his knowledge of Kelly is nothing but an asset… Kelly will be a formidable opponent for years to come…
Since Cochran split, the team has been missing the Edge he gave…They are claiming the S&C changes post season may bring it back… Coach Steele claims this is the best defensive line that we’ve had (ever since he’s been here)… I will have to see that to believe it..So, 2022:
LEFT TACKLE
- #54 Tyler Steen, 6’5″, 315, R-Sr.
- #78 Amari Kight, 6’7″, 322, R-Jr.
LEFT GUARD
- #60 Kendall Randolph, 6’4″, 298, Gr-Sr.
- #70 Javion Cohen, 6’4″, 305, Jr.
CENTER
- #71 Darrian Dalcourt, 6’3″, 305, Sr.
- #56 Seth McLaughlin, 6’4″, 295, R-So.
RIGHT GUARD
- #55 Emil Ekiyor Jr., 6’3″, 307, R-Sr.
- #52 Tyler Booker, 6’5″, 332, Fr.
RIGHT TACKLE
- #65 JC Latham, 6’6″, 326, So.
- #74 Damieon George Jr., 6’6″, 333, Jr.
Fast forward to 2023:
LT Kayden Proctor 6'7" 354lbs
LG - Elijah Pritchett- 6'6'312lbs
C - Seth McLaughlin-6'4" 301lbs
RG - Tyler Booker- 6'5 335lbs
RT - JC Latham -6'6 335 lbs.
The guard position was an issue throughout the season. It was never really about the S &C program. It was about not having right personnel that we need to establish running game/ blocking Young...
Who is they? Who said S&C changes post season?Since Cochran split, the team has been missing the end he gave…They are claiming the S&C changes post season may bring it back… Coach Steele claims this is the best defensive line that we’ve had (ever since he’s been here)… I will have to see that to believe it..
Kelly is a douchebag.. but Kelly is a winner…Like Sark and Kiffin, Saban wanted what they have on his team… And now he has a lot of Kelly’s knowledge too.. Im sure Saban will pick his brain on Kelly ever chance he gets..That has nothing to do with Rees and Kelly. Rees was one of the brightest OC.. a rising star in the circle... Tommy came to Alabama because of talent Saban has on the team and he knows if it goes well, it'll lead to HC job... not because of Kelly.
Think about it.. Who would you go work for? Kelly or Saban?
The changes in the S&C program started before Kirby and Cochran left. The lines were getting their asses whipped on most snaps.. the pocket and the D was moving back 5 to 7 yards as soon as the ball was snapped…So they revamped the S&C programs.. Saban wanted BRUTE strength back on the field again..
You're right but not why you think you're right.I think the strength and conditioning coaches are really the most important coaches in a football program… we learned that when we had Cochran…PAY the S&C staffs the big bucks too..
Okay...Rees has been with Kelly since he started… Kelly wanted to take him to LSU badly…Like him or not Kelly is a great offensive mind… there’s nothing wrong with admitting it…his knowledge of Kelly is nothing but an asset… Kelly will be a formidable opponent for years to come…
Kelly and Saban are friends. Kelly talks to Rees every once in a while. Kelly doesn't do anything special on offense. He's a good coach, but that's about it.Kelly is a douchebag.. but Kelly is a winner…Like Sark and Kiffin, Saban wanted what they have on his team… And now he has a lot of Kelly’s knowledge too.. Im sure Saban will pick his brain on Kelly ever chance he gets..
@24and7This is what Steele said today:
On the defensive line
"Right now, we’re early in fall practice, but they’ve worked really hard in the summer as a defensive line group. We’ve got talent there. They’re very coachable. And we’ve got some guys that are developing leadership in the room. That’s still a work in progress. But we have the talent. We’ve just gotta work the process.”
