🏈 McMillon...Yet Another One

Like I said earlier, anyone posting this kinda **** on an open forum is just as responsible as someone in the media, especially when this person claims to have inside info. Tacky, just like posting your source's name who is an active player on the team.

Eh I disagree. In that case any of us with an opinion on this forum that isn't accurate is an a** hole... For someone to have a legitimate business that advertises itself to have factual information, that is different IMO. To a certain degree everyone is full of shit... But it's different when you're job is to be factual as opposed to sharing opinions and information on a fan forum.

So you're ok with someone claiming to have inside knowledge, sharing that knowledge, and not being responsible for it? Trying to wrap my head around this, you're gonna chastise Smith for putting out bad data, but not someone else for putting out the same data because their not in the media? Both create the same kinda churn and it creates unnecessary clutter for Joshua McMillon and the coaching staff. If you check the date, you'll see the @CrimsonBoz reported this first on an open forum.

It's irresponsible.

Yep.

Don't know about you but I only take a small % of what is said on this form seriously (or personally).

Going to a legitimate website and reading articles, I expect that content to be researched and factual.

That's all.

Agree 100% I want folks on here to be accurate with their info but it isn't my job to report on Alabama football and often I hear stuff from a friend who is close to someone in the program. I am sure anyone else getting info is probably similar reach. Which means it is all potentially flawed information as it has to go thru at least two opinions before it gets to us.

A person writing for a paper or a credible source has a bigger burden of proof that they are "supposed" live by. When I came up it was what gave you job security because if you were credible and a decent writer you could find work. Now days anyone with a pulse and a keyboard can be a blogger or a contributor but in my book unless you quote your sources and due your due diligence you are just a hack.

As you can see, I've been here for years. I've yet to see the people that run this site put something out that's not accurate.

IE: We're a couple of weeks from these guys saying a lot about the rotation, but maintaining the same stance.

*Expect Cooper to start.
*Expect Blake as the back-up.
*Hurts has a lot of potential. How quickly he's used is left to be seen.

Have these guys here been wrong? Heck, @TerryP has been saying this since last spring.

Not that I have seen. Big fan of what TerryP does here. What I was saying is that I don't hold the information given from a poster to the same
level of scrutiny as I would a paid reporter.

Roll Tide

Which is why Terry is one of those small % of people I take seriously. And even if he were to state some innaccurate information, I wouldn't take it personally. Because it's a message board, he's not claiming to be a professional.

He's a strange one, but he's quick to use "it's my opinion" on things he isn't sure of. When he makes a definitive statement? I tend to take that to the bank.

I remember when he was writing for AL.com and don't recall anytime he was jumping the gun on anything. That's the same when he was working/running other sites.

My opinion. H/T to @TerryP

Hard to front on Terry he's been dead on since I've joined the site... Every now and then I got to verbally slap him around to keep him on his toes, but usually hes got the right stuff. :bama2:

Pretty cool hanging out with folks, who also know folks, in the know, who go around saying stuff like Roll Tide!!! But sometimes open forums are like dating a supermodel only to realize you've also moved in with the Addam's family. I mean who doesn't want to be seen with the #1, best-looking Crimson team in college football? Just have to keep in mind that sooner or later, uncle Fester, Lurch, cousin ITT and the gang will be stopping by for prolonged visits.
Cara Mia, I mean, ROLL TIDE ROLL!!
