šŸ“” M. Golf. NCAA Championship begins Friday May 27th

Makes me feel better to see these final scores from Round 1, because we were out on the course early and looked like hell. I see our guys stopped some of the bleeding, but we still have a ways to go. Dru Love was killing us yesterday, as was Lovelady. Come on fellas, turn it up a notch today and put yourself in good position for the final round.

Is it not like the gals, where they have two more rounds of stroke play? It was 4 stroke, 3 match.

ETA:Just looked up the schedule, there are two more rounds of stroke play, first cuts are tomorrow, top 15, then final cut Mon top 8 to advance to match play. Quarters and semis on Tues, finals on Wed.

Via NCAA Men's Golf Championship at Eugene Country Club: At a glance

Format: All 30 teams and six individuals will play 54 holes of stroke play. After Sunday's third round, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and top nine individuals not on an advancing team. Those golfers will play 18 holes Monday, after which the individual championship will be awarded. The top eight teams at the end of 72 holes will advance to match play, which runs Tuesday (quarterfinals and semifinals) and Wednesday (championship match) to determine the team champion.

Well, Bama completely shit the bed, throw away not only the bedclothes but burn the mattress and box springs shitting was done. Shot +21 on the day to drop from 6th to 28th and out of the tourney.

What a joke. I completely understand golf being one tough ass game and can turn on you in a heartbeat, but +22, almost twice as worse as any other team out there today is just sorry. Lovelady and Love killed us, just killed us all tournament long.

I donate to them, so I consider it "us".
Yeah, what he said. I donate to the AD every year, in the form of football season tickets and official merch/concessions, etc and football funds every other sport, so I feel like I have some small ownership in all of the athletic programs. That said, even though some guys shit the bed, they are still just kids and kids are not pros. Hell, even pros go through bad streaks. Golf is a funny game, you can go from being on fire to having the yips, like that. I am far from a great golfer but I have had back to back days in a tourney where I shot my best ever round(73) and then my worst ever round(115).

I agree. I realize I came across as tough on those two. I guess I just expected us to fix our issues with these guys pulling up the rear the entire year. Hate wasting a guys talent like Shelton, because he'S an every once and a while talent we have to capitalize on.
